Applied IR/CR1 in Dec 2020, going to US on B1/B2 soon

Hi all, I have a few questions if I may.

I applied for a IR/CR1 in Dec 2020, and we are going to US on B1/B2 next month and plan to stay 6 months (we live together in Thailand now). My listed address on  the application was a rental in Thailand. We obviously don't want any more documented sent here since we are moving out so should I change address to a friend in Thailand or to my US address for next 6 months? Can I list my wife's address as a US address?

Also what happens assuming I130 approved? I think I get a packet of stuff for the  I-864 form right? I think I can fill that in, in USA right and return it. Then the NVC will send all that to Bangkok I guess.  What if Bangkok calls my wife for an interview while in the US? Can she change location to the US? Can she delay the interview until after she gets back to Thailand in October? Is any of this likely to happen before October anyhow?

Thanks for helping, Steve

Visa interviews are never done inside the US. Her consular processing will be done in her home country.  She can reschedule the interview if needed.   However, delaying interviews can cause serious delays.  I hope she is able to demonstrate strong ties to her home country when attempting to enter the US via her B2.  It sounds like she has none.

You won't get a packet of stuff for the I-864.  You will upload a proper I-864 and supporting documentation.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Any mention of 6 months, that could invalidate your B1/B2 visa. People may not tell you here but it could be misconstrued that you have no ties in your country. What you do with this information is up to you..

I think the question "Can she change location to the US? " also points to that.

Given all this, CBP would rightly assume she's going to enter with the B visa to stay and adjust status in the US.
