Cool & good luck to you in rest of this process - That is what I am kind of figuring it out - it may be 8 years before my petition date is "current" it's been seven years already.

There maybe some good news or hope in the future. 

The number of F2B visas issued to Dominican Republic has gone down to below 400 the last 2 months. 

 

And we then had a movement in F2B Priority Date.  

Let's hope the backlog from DR is lesser now. Though it's early to say judging based on 2 months only.

Honestly I don't see how DR visa issuance numbers is an indicator of what happens to the rest of the world. Sometime in the year the VB moved 5 months while DR Issuance numbers were still high. It should be apparent by now there are no clear signs/predictions on what has been happening and will happen to the VB going forward. We can only hope.
