This is big considering we haven't seen such movement in years. Lets hope it keeps up the pace (even more increases pace) as we get deep into the fiscal year. All the best good people, hang in there!

Absolutely, our moment has finally arrived! The family-based category has seen a significant advance, outpacing employment-based categories this month.
My lawyer informed me that one of her clients, with a priority date of September, 2015, has been scheduled for an interview.

Well every category is moving so it's a good sign that F2B is moving as well(already 9 yrs backlog). F3 is moving more than 4 months hopefully, we'll see similar F2B progress in the coming months. With that more people are now eligible for interviews and can expedite their cases. Let's hope that no single country hampers the momentum, and each country gets 10-15 visas from now

4 months gone for this fiscal year and still no 2023 yearly report. Seems like by the time we receive it, there won't be any time left to make any assessment at all.

The 2023 annual report will be an interesting one, it’s going to show which country/countries exceeded congress mandated 7% limit on family + employment visas.

It's usually released sometime between Feb and April.

The EV limit was 140k. Last fiscal year, they issued 197k visas, all of which came from the family quota. This fiscal year, it's 21k only(for that we are getting F movement) it will come from the family quota again. Unfortunately there isn't much push from the F category to issue more visas

Has anyone been invited for an interview recently? It would be great to hear if some of us have received invitations, especially since the bulletin has recently moved forward.

Does anyone know when the interview schedule notifications are typically sent out? From what I understand, they're usually distributed at the start of the month.

It depends on the consulate. And the wait for an interview varies hugely depending on the consulate too - some have waits of only a couple of months, some are a couple of years.

January statistics are out.

Does anyone here know where to find monthly visa statistics for various categories under “adjustment of status?”

It will start to issue IL (March VB) next month when you become eligible according to your PD

I'm also curious about the sequence in which F2B visas are processed. Is it as follows?

  • I-130 approval: Ordered by submission date.
  • Consular interview scheduling: Based on the date of documentary completion, applicable only to cases current in the final action date.
  • I-485 approval: Organized by submission date, applicable only to cases current in the final action date and documentary complete.
