Broke up after NOA2 (K1)

My heart is heavy as I write this. I've spent so much time and effort into our relationship and this visa, it is sad to see it end. NOA2/approval from USCIS was Feb 12 2021, break up was few weeks prior. I'll spare the details. He is the petitioner (US), I am the beneficiary (Canada). Don't think there's any chance of reconciliation.

Many on this forum advised that the petitioner should write to get the visa cancelled, as to not create any future problems. The problem is I'm not sure who he would be writing to. I don't have the case number or anything (didn't do the whole bit where I am supposed to wait 5 weeks before calling to find out case number, as we had already broken up by then). It's been more than a month since NOA2 so I'm not sure the status of the visa anymore. Is he writing to the service center, or NVC? (or elsewhere? doubt it made it to consulate/embassy yet)

Also is in writing by mail or an email?

😥

You can call uscis and tell them but... I would wait unless you are 100 percent certain that you are calling it quits. I’m very sorry. This has been so hard on us all. I have been with my love since 2015 and he tried to visit me in 2017. He had a approved tourist visa at that time. They sent him back saying he would not leave me. They put a 5 year ban on him. It was during the Muslim ban. It required that we travel and spend so much money to see each other. It has now been 1 year since I have hugged him. It’s hard on a relationship with Covid too.

Hi Shelly, thanks for your reply... It is not me that ended the relationship, but him. If it was up to me, I'd fight until I'm on my last breath. But he does not want to anymore. He says the feelings faded after our 9month separation from covid, among with other things he felt like we weren't a good fit.

I want to have hope, but I guess from a logistical standpoint, I want to know what action to take when the time is right to end things completely (just confused where the letter would go since I dont know where my visa is currently).

I don't have any words of wisdom and could not read and not leave you a message. I just want to leave you a chocolate hug.

Be gentle with yourself🌻

Thanks... I will try to pick myself up ❤️

You don't call the uscis as they don't have the petition.   You either notify who currently has the petition or do nothing at all,  as the petition will die on its own.

I'm guessing the NVC has it as this point probably?
