So I am about to file a late I-751.  This is my letter of explanation.  Can you please review and make suggestions?

Late Filing, Letter Of Explanation                                                                               March 17, 2021

Dear Sir or Madam,

Please excuse this late filing of Form I-751 for Kadriya Sitdikova.  Her expiration date was 03/24/2020.

At that time, I (her husband) lost my job due to COVID-19 reasons and I filed for unemployment but unfortunately, it was not properly processed, and I never ended up receiving any unemployment benefits.  So we were struggling financially at that time.  As of today, we have received our stimulus payment provided by President Biden and I am able to afford the filing fee.

Sincerely,

Gregory A Gum

And

Kadriya Sitdikova

Dear Sir or Madam,

At that time, I (her husband) lost my job due to COVID-19 reasons and I filed for unemployment but unfortunately, it was not properly processed, and I never ended up receiving any unemployment benefits.  So, we were struggling financially at that time, as well as medical concerns due to COVID-19 (I am currently 60).

As of today, we have received our stimulus funds provided by President Biden and I am able to afford the filing fee, and so am now filing this with her.

I have attached a copy of the email I received as evidence which state that unemployment benefits were denied.

Sincerely,

Gregory A Gum

Kadriya Sitdikova

It will depend on what USCIS decides, but they generally do consider financial difficulties as "good cause" for filing late.

Good Luck!
