Waiting for an interview appointment

Hello everybody, I have been documentarily qualified since January this year, my Priority date is Jan 5th 2016. Right now the visa bulletin board shows that the PD is still at July 2015.

Is there any hope for me to get an interview appointment this year. I am not sure I can wait till next year for personal reasons.

Hello, You are already been DQ’d so forget the PD anymore.. Just wait for the next communication from NVC on your scheduled interview either within 120 days or after 120 days.. we never know.

? You can’t forget the PD, they will not schedule an interview if the PD is not current.

Hmmm.. 🤔 I think the current status are only applicable to F2A because I remember when our PD came up it did not changed to “C” just the normal date format  and after that we got the letter from NVC

I hope so

Yup. Because I got a letter from NVC and just notifying the applicant’s case is documentarily complete and has been for at least 60 days. So now just waiting if I will get an interview within 120 days or still in line for an interview. 🤞🏻 BTW my PD NOV2010 and DQ Oct 2020.

OP did not state what visa category but with a PD of 2015 it is likely to be F2B (assuming OP posted in correct forum) not F2A. So PD definitely matters.

Also I am not sure you actually understand the meaning of current from that post. It doesn’t have to say C. Your PD needs to be earlier than the PD published in the visa bulletin for the case to be current. A visa interview will not be scheduled if the case is not current in Table A.

What case type are you? Sounds like F3 or F4 with a 2010 PD? Or are you F2B Philippines?

F2B Philippines 😁

So your priority date is current,  and it’s not unreasonable for you to expect an interview notice.

OP’s priority date on the other hand is not current and he will not get scheduled an interview until it is.
I know we all want to help here, but please be a little careful about telling people things based on your own circumstances to someone who does not have the same situation.

Thanks you're right

My Visa category is f2B. I guess there's no chance of me getting an interview this year as the visa bulletin is hardly moving

I think it’s really hard to say right now. There have been no F2 interviews for a year. Now that they are restarting the VB progress might change.

I believe we are in the same boat. I'm also F2B in Nigeria  with PD March 2016. Waiting has been so stressful and the visa bulletin is basically stagnant.

Please let me (us) know if you get any good news.

All the best to everyone.
