Hello Everyone,

I filed a Petition for my Parents (Mom & Dad) from the Philippines.

March 31, 2021 - Filed I-130
April 05, 2021 - Case was received and a receipt notice was mailed.
April 07, 2021 - Case is being actively reviewed by USCIS (This is only under my Mom’s case/receipt #) while my Dad’s case still not being actively reviewed.

Question:
• Is it normal that one of the petition I filed got an update first while the other one is still pending or has not yet been updated although they were filed at the same time?

As each petition stands on its own, they will be processed separately.  .. it is not uncommon for the processing to be separated like you see ...and in a different time line....

You need to pay two fees for two petitions.   When you submit the I-130 online, you will be directed to pay online.

I just applied for my mum (she is in hong kong) - technically July 2021 filer, not march (but I can't find a thread for July). My mum doesn't speak any english unfortunately. Does anyone know what would happen when it comes time to the interview? Can i go with her? or can she bring an interpreter? or is it going to be in her native language?
