I am an Indian citizen living in Canada on a student visa. I've met my girlfriend (now fiance) for five times in the last five years. Three times when I was in the US (I held an F-1 visa which is now CWOP) and twice so far in Canada. I am the one who made the trips to her place. Is my number visits to the US adequate? (we have an age gap of 16 years, me being the younger one)? Is there a  hard and fast rule regarding the number of times the engaged couple should have met? Thanks for the responses in advance!

Length of these visits???

U have to overcome a big age gap so if possible ,   marry, and spend more time together and apply for spouse visa

Different religions?

Female of child bearing age?

your education and work experience will factor in at the interview

will you interview in Canada (i ask as i have no idea if it is possible)?

and the above factors are more important if interviewing in India

Length of these visits: 2 days, One week, One week, One week, and one month. We got engaged in Feb. 2020 after 4 years of dating.

I am Hindu and she's Lutheran but we are both non-practicing. (although I am not sure if it's a red flag?)

She's 45 and got essure already so having kids at this point doesn't make sense for us as a couple. Also, I don't want kids anyway.

Yes, I will interview in Canada. I am legally allowed to have my interview in Canada because I have a work permit.

I doubt it matters. My fiancée is 14 years younger. We've been dating for two years and have met twice. Because of covid, we haven't had any subsequent visits. Also, I don't want to be dating someone for years and years before I get married. We both want children together and add to her two.

Age gaps are an issue in some cultures but not in others. For the Philippines it’s very common that the USC male will be at least a decade older than the female beneficiary. That sort of thing doesn’t turn heads at the Manila embassy. Does even cause an eyebrow to ge raised. But in some cultures and at some embassies it can be a huge issue.

Timeline in brief:

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath

Now a US citizen!

If I'm not mistaken the requirement is one in person meeting within the last two years (someone correct me if this has been changed please) but I agree the more the better. Just shows a more solid relationship in their eyes.
