Have a wonderful Canada Day!

Happy Birthday Canada! You're 140 years old today!

I myself am having a awesome Canada Day already! My 2 oldest kids came in from Canada for a visit yesterday and are spending 9 days here in Virginia with us. They whole house is still asleep as I type haha but it's a cozy feeling having all my kids under the same roof again. I hadn't seen them since Xmas!

I've been busy this morning while everyone slumbers...lol..take a lookie at my yard! hehe

See what I did with our hummingbird feeder?

Looks more like Canada here today than the Blue Ridge Mountains! hahaha

And I'll be doing it all over again on Wed. with the US flags!

Have a great day!

P.S. Bit of trivia: How many here can remember when this day was called "Dominion Day"? I can.

Hey Sharon, have fun with the fam damily. Did they bring you any back bacon? That's what I miss most on Canada Day. A nice big back bacon sammich. mmmmmm!

We're going to a CanSouth back-yard BBQ in Charlotte this afternoon. Hopefully it won't rain on us, but it looks like it will. And hubby broke my Canada flag umbrella a couple weeks ago :P

I have lots of Canadiana swag to take with me too! I emailed friends and family up home and asked them to send me some party favours. I've got felt hats, lights, frizbee, blow up bats, stickers, tattoos, little flags, and a tote bag to carry it all in :D

Our hosts for the day have also made beer, and the Canadian Consul for North Carolina and a rep from Connect2Canada are also coming and apparently they are bringing Tim Hortons swag

divorced - April 2010 moved back to Ontario May 2010 and surrendered green card

PLEASE DO NOT PRIVATE MESSAGE ME OR EMAIL ME. I HAVE NO IDEA ABOUT CURRENT US IMMIGRATION PROCEDURES!!!!!

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Happy Canada Day! eh!? I love the yard too, Sharon, and I know you will enjoy your visit with your kids:-). Have fun at the party, Reba - it sounds like it will be great! I've put my little paper Canadian flags out in the planters on the front porch - don't have a flagpole for the big flag - then on July 4th I'll add the little American flag:-).

Going to go and make myself a nice cup of Timmies, now - my brother sent me a new big can for my birthday!

And I remember Dominion Day:-).

Happy Canada Day all!

Sharon, beautiful yard! We have our Canadian flag flying from our balcony. But then again it's flying every day.

The Embassy is closed tomorrow, so D has off to celebrate, lucky man. And yes, he remembers Dominion Day!

Happy Canada Day everyone! I had to work unfortunately but my friend brought his laptop and we watched Molson commercials!

And his wife hung up the Canadian Flag. His daughter made him a homemade "happy canada day" card for him as well. :)
