23 weeks pregnant at K1 interview

The only “delay” that could occur would be one of timing. If, by the time the visa is issued, you are beyond the stage of pregnancy that the airline will permit you to fly then obviously you have to wait until after the birth to travel. But that has nothing to do with the visa approval or denial.

Also you will need an x-ray for the medical. Although a lead apron is provided to cover the abdomen some women choose to delay things until after the birth as they personally don’t feel comfortable having an x-ray whilst pregnant and that’s their prerogative.

so i have read a few comments on visajourney that say if a woman is pregnant during the interview, the visa won't be issues until they have the child. but i have read this isnt true. it is very confusing, does anyone have any actual sources/examples that talk about this situation

My friend was issued with k1 visa when was obviously pregnant.

Will not speed up the case

and does affect in the following ways:

DNA test to prove it is your child are costly

if granted a K1 ,  most airlines do not allow travel in the last trimester

as far as immigration is concerned,  you are rushing into the relationship as you need time to know the person

nothing wrong with talk of a future and possibilities of family but the idea of planning a child when neither of you have witnessed the other's culture and seen personal values is premature

really we all wish you success and happiness but your head must rule these life changing decisions

The thread you are quoting here is about someone who had not even met his "potential wife" in person, and was already planning for a pregnancy. Those comments were about rushing into a relationship, not specifically about being pregnant during the interview.

Besides some possible delays around X-rays and airlines not allowing you to fly during the last trimester, being pregnant during your interview is not a problem. The problem in the post you are referring to, is people getting way ahead of themselves and not giving their relationship time to grow.
