Hi everyone,  When my husband and I got married in Morocco recently, we had the wedding celebration with a few family members (due to Covid) a few days before we signed the actual marriage contract with the adoul (because it was getting close to my departure date and because of an upcoming holiday).  Now we are confused about photos of the wedding celebration.  I said we should put the actual date we celebrated with his family, but my husband is worried it will confuse the USCIS because that date is before the date we actually got married.  What do you think?

The date of the marriage is the date on the marriage book.

I think it isn’t necessary to submit photos but if you do why do they have to be dated.

We never submitted a photo for anything we filed.

Thanks for your reply!  We submitted photos because we are trying to frontload due to having several red flags (age gap, high fraud country, previous marriage) and because we don't have a lot of financial co-mingling yet, although that is in process.  Financial comingling will not be demonstrable by the time we submit the i130 petition.   We also don't have affadavits.

morocco does need some photos but like i said before "make sure some of them are with his family especially his mom"

the financial commingling like the IRS transcripts with him as spouse is important at time of interview

Also get a POA from him (Arabic and English translation) that allows you to do financial transactions so he can be added to bank account with that ITIN you get from IRS

you'll be ok as you're here asking and covering all the bases

Thanks so much!  I guess I am just nervous because we have heard all of this about frontloading your application and we do have several red flags (age difference, high fraud country, my previous marriage and divorce).  We have compiled documents with screenshots of chats for almost four years.  We also have screenshots of facetime calls since August 2020 because the phone doesn't go further back than that.  We have photos from our wedding celebration and from 3 visits.  (One visit I was married, and one separated.)   I have photos with his mom from the wedding celebration.  We have the receipts from lunches at cafes, grocery trips, and wedding rings from this last visit.  We also have passport stamps from all three visits.  But with all the talk about frontloading, I wish I could include my taxes for this year since we don't have any other financial comingling (no joint bank accounts, lease or anything).  In order to add him to life insurance I need an ITIN for him, but that has to be submitted with taxes so that is all in process.  In addition, I cannot get affidavits from family due to the fact my family does not approve of my decision to divorce my first husband.  I'm just wondering with the red flags in place, should I wait and complete taxes and add him to my life insurance so I can include them with the i130 petition (even though this isn't asked for, but in the interest of front loading and to show financial comingling).

don't wait

the financial will come at the 2nd stage (NVC)   USCIS doesn't care about the taxes and they don't care about affidavits from US family

boarding passes for the trips if you have them

and i only sent 25 photos from the 3 trips

all the financial information is needed a lot later

just send the petition,  the proofs of the relationship and a one page letter (synopsis) of meeting him, visits and marriage and what you are doing to add him

Does the Casablanca consulate care about affidavits from the Moroccan spouse's family and friends?

not really

they will not look at these documents at interview but u can add them to petition at USCIS to validate marriage (but not important as all  that is really needed in marriage certificate)

Trust me, if my husband and I made it though with the red flags, bells and whistles ,  age (20 years)  my former marriages, him on a expired visitors visa, and I had a previous USCIS filing,   you got this!!
