People have called my husband “Swiss Chris.”  🧀 It doesn’t bother him.  🍫  I hope Congress doesn’t waste any real time on the Alien issue, but knowing them, they will.

Other

And to take it even further, in some languages like mine (Spanish), nouns have a gender. So “other “ can be either “otro” or “otra” (masculine and feminine) but wait, what do we do with people that do not identify with either? (removed) it, let’s just write in neutral language “otre” and now everybody is happy.

The only thing I learnt from it is people like you with desperation but ready to be called anything to dehumanize them from other begin, that is why you guys are complaining while my petition is not about backlog, but you forget to realized Alien will always be treated as one, so do not complain about backlog, enjoy the name and the backlog.

realized Alien will always be treated as one  This is what you are doing to yourself.  Focusing on a label and think you are it.

Your mind is made up, so my final advice is:

They get paid the same whether they’re processing cases or typing memos

I know they get paid the same. But my point was that they are backlogged and messy as they are, can you imagine if we asked them to take all the forms off their website and update them with the new language that OP is asking for, maaaaaaan that with covid and the change in the public charge rule would be like dropping a bomb.

You would of course never find an acceptable to all alternative.

I never seen someone so butthurt about a word that is not even offensive or dehumanizing. It’s like they caught an attitude because nobody wants to sign their stupid petition.

I would sign it but I’m suuuuuuuyper busy catching up on Marvel WandaVision with the missus.  We’re enslaved by NetFlix

I’m saying they’d drop processing and get to typing.  I’d rather they not 😂

yourself

I mean, OP says that us who really don’t care about the label “alien” are accepting it only because we are desperate to stay here. But on the other hand, they feel so discriminated and still stay, this is something they are definitely doing to themselves.
