Would like to say THANK YOU to all who helped/shared us informations to make sure that we have complete requirements during the interview. From the bottom of my heart, THANKS SO MUCH.

Goodluck to next in line. Don't worry, AOS interview is 10,000 times easier than your interview in US Embassy Manila

Tips:

:star: Ensure complete documents like affidavit of support, latest tax returns, passport (beneficiary), pay slips (petitioner) and proof of relationship (we provided bank statement with check under our names)

:star: Make sure where to get the documents when they ask

:star: Relax

:star: Don't be so early coz the security guard told us to get inside, 10 mins before our appointment.

I-751 Timelines

01/28/08 (1st day) - submitted I-751 (Lifting of Conditional Status)

01/30/08 (3rd day) - confirmed receipt of documents thru USPS

02/05/08 (9th day) - check cashed!

02/11/08 (15th day) - received NOA (I-797) GC extended for 1 year!

02/28/08 (32nd day) - received NOA for Biometrics Appointment

03/06/08 (39th day) - biometrics appointment @ 10am - DONE!

05/23/08 (78th day) - received 10-yr Green Card in the mail

May 30, 08 - passed written driving test (1st attempt) & got temporary permit yipeee !

Congratulations! Glad to hear it (Mine is in detroit in early may..) Did you get your passport stamped??

No, they didnt stamp my passport. is that a need? what's the advantage of having passport stamped? :unsure:

you can go home/work etc while waiting for your green card.. i'm from canada (ontario) and detroit is really close to the Canadian border that I just might hop over there for lunch or something after the interview! (if i get the stamp..)

December 13, 2007 - I-751 submitted to NSC (removing of conditions fun begins...)

December 22 - Received a rejection notice because the form was not "properly signed". Package itself was not returned.

January 1, 2008 - Received packet back from CSC. They are requesting we resubmit the packet (which is already organized by CSC) with a properly signed form.

January 2 - Packet resubmitted to California.

January 12 - NOA1 received (dated 01/07/2008)

January 19 - Biometrics appointment notice received (dated 01/15/2008)

February 1 - Biometrics

March 11 - Approved! Card production ordered (notified via e-mail).

March 20, 2008 - New card arrived in the mail :)

Done until 2018 :)
