Finalizing my AOS through marriage (current L1A) and have some final questions

Hello everybody, first of all, may I start by saying that this is an incredible website with a ton of helpful resrouces. It's been an awesome help for me as I have spent time over the last few weeks working through the application process after I got married to my wife last month.

I think I am about ready to submit the forms this week, but before I do so I have quite a few questions that hopefully you all can help me with. I have split these into general questions, and then split them by form as I know some people may have more experience with some vs others.

For general context, I am a UK citizen and have been living in the US for the last 3.5 years. I am currently on an L1-A visa  and have been for the last 2 years. Prior to this I was an L1-B. My wife is a US Citizen, we were married last month and have been together for just over 3 years.

General Questions:

  • I believe I do not have an A number and have left this field blank in all forms, this is correct, even though I have a valid L1-A?
  • I understand I pay $535 for the i-130 and $1,225 for the i-485...Am I missing anything else?
  • For the i-485 payment, is one payment amount correct or do I need to submit two payments...$85 for biometrics and $1,140 for the form?
  • As this is an AOS that is marriage based, do I send this package to the lockbox in Chicago or do I send it to a location in Houston where I live?
  • I only need to send one copy of all forms when I submit, and keep another replica copy for myself?
  • The forms I submit are 130, 130a, 485, 131, 765, 864 and the medical
  • When I submit the medical, do I just include the sealed envelope on with the complete packet?
  • i-944 - After the announcement on the 9th, does this mean I don't have to submit this at all?

Form i-130

  • My wifes father has passed away. Should I write "deceased" in state and country for current residency?
  • My wife has worked for the same employer for the last 8 years, but has held different job titles. Do we need to list each title and period, or can we just put one entry and have the to / from as the 8 year period?
  • Part 4 10 - Even though I have a valid L1-A, I assume I mark "No" for has anybody filed a petition for the beneficiary (Assuming this means PERM only)
  • Part 4 21 and 25 - Do I just duplicate the name and information here?
  • Part 4 22 - In the marriage end date, do we leave this blank, or should we write "current" or "present"?
  • Part 4 46 - Date of arrival...Should this be when I last arrived or when I first arrived on the L1-A? I have left the US a couple of times for vacation since I received my L1 so this date could be different
  • Part 4 48 - I do not have a travel document number, should I leave blank or do I repeat my passport number?
  • Part 4 61 - Which office am I applying to? Do I list Chicago (which is where I send the form package?) or should I put Houston where I live?

Form i-131

  • Part 1 6 - I put L1-A here as it's my current visa status?
  • The only travel plans I have are for a friends wedding in December and the dates are still TBD...Should I put a general date or should I put TBD?

Form i-765

  • I assume I check 1a on this form. Even though I work now under an L1-A, this allows me to accept employment from any other company as long as the 765 is approved
  • Part 1 12 - It asks if I have previously filed an i765...Having a current L1A would not have meant an i-765 has been filed before, does it? This should only be for PERM application and therefore I should mark "No"
  • Part 2 27 - My eligibility category is (C)(9) for a marriage based AOS

Form i-864

  • Part 1 1a - I assume we check that my wife is the petitioner
  • Part 3 1 - We check this box and no need to list any other names as I am the only beneficiary?

Form i-485

  • Part 1 19 - This is the red "P" number on my current visa?
  • Part 1 21 - Should this be arrival back from my last vacation, or first entry under my L1-A?
  • Part 1 22a - I would have been admitted as an "L1-A"?
  • Part 8 61 - Declaration of i-944...Do I now mark that I am exempt from the public charge ground due to the rule change on 9th March

Thank you so much for any advice that any of you may be able to offer with this!
