Would it not be likely that as the situation of Covid gets better that the K1 visa returns to its normal 8 month time frame? I understand the benefits to CR-1 but, I don't know how we can get married in a 2 week trip. Is that even possible?

When was K-1 8 months time frame? I did mine in 2018 and it took 12 months. Maybe on a rare occasions it took someone 8 months, but the average was year+

I am devastated that after waiting over 3 months for a NOA1, and finally getting a NOA1, my check did not cash. I do not know why. It was an official check from my bank. My account had the funds in it. There is no explanation what so ever I could give for this happening. I am crushed because I cannot apply again, three months ago we were able to prove that we had met within two years and now we cannot. They sent back the application and said we would have to refile. Is there any way possible we could petition this? This is horrible and I could vomit.

Some checks have a limited validity after date of issue. Probably it was that

Ours was 8.5 months from NOA1 to interview with a late May 2018 filing (at the tail end of the super-slow mid-2017 to mid-2018 period), and USCIS processing times kept going down until late 2019. We were a little faster than average for then, but not much. And prior to the pandemic, mid-2017 to mid-2018 was a on the long side of K-1 processing times historically; usually NOA1 to NOA2 times are under 4 months though they won't be back there any time soon I suspect.

Ours was 6 months to petition approval, 8 months to wedding in 2018.
