refused status after interview approval

I had my interview recently and it was approved. But when I check ceac portal, the status is refused. Is this normal? During the interview the consular officer he will recommend the approval of my passport and given instructions on how to register my address for the delivery of passport and visa.

Yes, is normal. This refused is like administrative work. Don't worry about it

If it was approved, you should get the passport within a couple of weeks

You're never approved until the status changes to issued. Everyone's case go through administrative processing after the interview, some for hours, some for days, some for months. It's normal and standard procedure, while in AP the status can show AP, or refused, or ready. You just need to wait for "issued". 👍
