Hi all,

 

Great to see so many approvals! I am starting to get worried about my I-485, I had the interview scheduled 2/2019 and I attended with my lawyer. We asked the officer to keep my I-485 open and they kindly agreed to. There has been no updates on my I-485 since that and my I-360 got approved in December. I sent an update request for my I-458 through the USCIS website but didn't receive anything. I am in Brooklyn, but we filed I-485 in NY and the interview was in Manhatttan. Should I contact congressman or just keep waiting? Is it possible that my I-485 papers are lost or disconnected with my I-360 case? The interview line in Brooklyn is very long, so I would like to make sure it is at least at the end of the line.

03/2019:  Filed I-360
03/2019: Attended I-485 interview with my lawyer, they agreed to keep my case open
12/2021:  I-360 Case was approved

03/2019: Attended I-485 interview with my lawyer, they agreed to keep my case open
12/2021:  I-360 Case was approved

 

Your vawa was just approved in December, no need to worry about as it does take a while to get interviewed scheduled again. 
you probably won’t get any response from inquiring on-line because your I-485 is linked to a vawa case. 
Ask you lawyer or congressman to inquire if you want to know the status of your application.

There are a lot more people that didn’t get updates on their I-485 after I-360, that includes me, to find out? Contact your congress person

You might get some updates on your i485 soon, I see people get some kind of updates in 6-8 months after their I360 was approved.

 

or like me, never get any updates on i485, you never know with them

Hey @shiva32 @balo101 and everyone else who chimed in earlier. Letting you guys know the card just arrived. I received the work permit under category 31 and a letter saying they denied my I-765 because my case approved so I’d already be receiving a card. You guys were right!!!!! I’m happy even though I know this isn’t the end.
Everyone will be getting good news soon 🙏🏾🥂

No not interview, but a RFe for medical. I got it on March 14th. But no updates on my i485 since 2018.

Like a curtesy letter To either prepare the medical exam or submit it, I saw people here were getting such letters

im sharing this timeline with you, it maybe helpful for someone at the beginning of this loooooong journey or for those who are almost at the end.

 

11.2018 i-360 filed

04.2019 i-485 (new) filed 

04.2020 i-360 approved

04.2020 i-485 your case was transferred to another office and since that it was quite, no updates for the next 11 months.

11.2020 I-765 filed for renewal, still haven’t got any updates. (173 days)

03.01.2021 I-485 medical exam

03.23.2021 I-485 they received my medicals

03.31.2021 I-485 your card is being produced

and only after that I felt like- what a relief!

04.09.2021 I-485 your card was delivered 

 

I just want to say - it’s unbelievable feeling when you can finally go to sleep peacefully and not thinking about the whole process. I was thinking about the process everyday for 2,5 years.

to all of you- stay strong no matter what and never give up because your relief is coming soon as well!

What’s your local office? 
You received a RFE for medical or you just sent it to your local office?

I was interviewed on Friday for I-485, and today very early I got notification that Uscis ordered production of a new card, Thank you from the core of my heart to @sandranj , @Stillwinning!!!😊, @Villanelle, @Demise, @Engineering-rocks  and other family members of this forum. Special thanks to @TBoneTXwhose jokes served as a catalyst. I'll share my timeline later on with some useful suggestions based on self experience. Thanks once again.
