Hi Team,

My 485 interview scheduled on this week.

I360 approved feb 2020

Recently went infopass on march 2nd week and given my new medicals

2 things:

1. took new medicals on Dec last weekof 2020 and submitted to uscis field office IO on march 2nd week,2021.Is it still good..?because it had passed 60 days...plz suggest

2. Interview suggestions plz

@Stillwinning!!!😊 and other VJ members

Thanks

Well it was not valid as at the time of submission so that right there is the problem since it has passed 60days...another  problem is if for some reason it is misplaced or goes missing...you will still have to get it done before your green card is approved! This is the reason it is best to hand it over to the I.O at your interview! So you’re going to have to re-do it! For your interview, stay confident and arrive early. Take all important documentation with you including the interview notice. The documents includes but are not limited to the following...Marriage/birth certificates, divorce certificates, I-360 approval notice, EAD and state issued identification, passports, tax documents from the last 3yrs if applicable, employment verification letter, usually the updated Medicals... which you already turned in...(You should get another one done ASAP). I wish you heaven’s best!🎉🎊🙏😊

I got a GC through vawa. I want to go visit my country but my passport is expired and my consulate is giving me a hard time renewing it. An option they give is that instead of the passport they can give me a "safe pass" or "safe conduct" which is only good to enter my country once. My question is, would this work?  do I need to show a passport to any US authority when leaving the US? Do I need a passport when i return to the US or just my GC?

thanks

Is it Ukraine? I had the same issue! The passport expired and they wouldn't renew it because I changed my name. They gave me a paper that allowed me to enter my home country. When I entered  my home country, I immediately applied for a new passport and got it approved in 3 weeks. Hope that's helpful. I did not have any issues leaving with an expired passport or entering with a new one.

From experience, the medical is still valid as long as  the I-485 was filed before the date of the civil surgeons signature.

On April 2nd I received an RFE for medical, which I sent in on the 6th. My medical was actually done on 10/30/2019. I was skeptical in sending it in but my lawyer assured me that it was valid and sent me the screenshot below. I got approved 4 days later and have received my green card.

Dear Didieme, I hope so too but the thing is from my own personal experience my i485 was filed before the date of the civil surgeon’s signature.. yet USCIS asked for an updated medical which I did and got approved! Better safe than sorry!🤷🏻‍♀️ I wish everyone nothing but the very best!🙌

Hi all. This is my first time posting in VJ. Im an oct 2019 filer awaiting vawa approval. I renewed my EAD(C09) and waiting on that as well. Anyone around my timeline who has got an RFE or approval? The 18 months of silence from USCIS is starting to take a toll in me.

Don’t let it take a toll on you Rambo, the process and wait time is depressing enough..keep busy and focus on self improvement...before you know it, your day will spring a pleasant surprise on you!😊🙏🎊🎉

Hey family I hope everyone is okay ! I am going to tell my story hopefully I take some evidence that can help more for my vawa cave !

I haven’t live with my abuser since he abandoned the house or talking about divorce because he disappeared!

so last week he called the ice on me and repot that I’m illegal and some Racist words I'd rather not say it ( the ice officer told me that ) so I had my EAD and everything and showed them that I’m not illegal or doing anything bad and I have a case pending so the ice officer apologized to me and told me he might write a letter and put it with that text my abuser been threatening that he will call the ice on me !

Here some questions,

i have my EAD under c9 if I divorced can I renew it under c9 even if I’m not married to US citizen  anymore ?

If the ice officer did not give a letter because he told me is will be a little  bit hard and he need to talk to FBI for that ! Can I explain what happen by myself and put them with the texts threatening and send it to vawa as an evidence?

thank you ❤️

@Stillwinning!!!😊 or anyone can help with idea 💔💔

The FBI officer is a gentleman! I commend him. Yes you can include all that detail in your affidavit. Yes you can renew even if you’re divorced (I always recommend holding off the divorce until your case is decided)...ask USCIS to link your pending i485 to your i360 petition. The good news is that even if anything happens with your i485, you can still file another one based on your self petition!😊👍
