Before the legal crew steps in, I’ld  like to say I believe the answers to question 1and 3 are Yes respectively! Good thing you have an attorney...once your i360 is approved, it’s easier from there!😊👍

@Stillwinning!!!😊 thank you for the info!!! tysm :)

1- You will not file VAWA cancelation of removal. Once your VAWA is approved you have to ask the ICE Duty officer  to join you in a Motion to Terminate Proceedings.Once VAWA is approved they will sign the motion with you, but if they oppose, you still can ask to terminate the proceedings

.

2- I assume you didn't have the master hearing yet then, attend the hearing and   ask to have an individual hearing, probably your VAWA will be approved to the individual hearing.

Thank you @sandranj for guiding with the best answers! tysm! I wanted work permit badly since I didnt EAD for few years, therefore my lawyer said there is one way to get it now that is, if we submit COR to court, they will stamp me and I can apply work permit after that. the total cost with the lawyers fees is $4000+. Since I have no knowledge about this area I wanted second opinion as it is costly for me. I do not even now if it will take a long time for the court to stamp me, etc. My lawyer does not state these things clearly and im in a dilemma if I should proceed with COR or not. Just the timeline, risk (if any) and $ is are my utmost concern.

If you can provide any info or your best opinion @sandranj I would be ever grateful! you are a God sent angel ❤️ TYSM

Hi everyone!

Just wanted to tell you that my Prima Facie arrived 2 days ago. I was about about to mail a letter to have it renewed like many of you suggested but they mailed the new one before I had the chance. I will use it to pay in-state tuition.

Thank you everyone!

Usually they send it by themselves. In my case, i had to request them each time

Good morning

just wondering can anyone shed light on what this might be. Today I received a RTÉ notice on my i485 case file my vawa was approved in November 2018 any idea what it could be?

Thanks Aidan

RFE you mean? If yes, then it might be for birth certificate or medical update which is common here..perhaps for you to send it in. By all means do wait to get it.. to make certain!👍

Hi family!

I got a question. What is the name of the funding you can apply for when you need help financially with school. I know you can use a Prima facie to receive it but for the life of me I cannot remember the name. It would be of great help if I could get the website as well if it’s not too much. Thank you!

Hey family I hope everyone is okay ! I am going to tell my story hopefully I take some evidence that can help more for my vawa cave !

I haven’t live with my abuser since he abandoned the house or talking about divorce because he disappeared!

so last week he called the ice on me and repot that I’m illegal and some Racist words I'd rather not say it ( the ice officer told me that ) so I had my EAD and everything and showed them that I’m not illegal or doing anything bad and I have a case pending so the ice officer apologized to me and told me he might write a letter and put it with that text my abuser been threatening that he will call the ice on me !

Here some questions,

i have my EAD under c9 if I divorced can I renew it under c9 even if I’m not married to US citizen  anymore ?

If the ice officer did not give a letter because he told me is will be a little  bit hard and he need to talk to FBI for that ! Can I explain what happen by myself and put them with the texts threatening and send it to vawa as an evidence?

thank you ❤️

Please if anyone has an idea

I’m not sure how long because USCIS usually gives a timeframe for you to send it in but in any instance they don’t I always advise to send it as soon as possible! In your case you should send it as soon as you receive it. Better to do it right than hastily.👍

Are you referring to FAFSA? So many folks here have or are currently utilizing it! Someone will explain better to you...I’ve never used it.👍

Yes! FAFSA.
So you need to contact your schools tuition department, they will send you information for how to apply for it including your schools code for the FAFSA. It’s a standard process on the FAFSA website.

The important part is you need to send a copy of PF to your school so they will grant your application. You can apply for loan for bachelor, masters degree classes etc. I don’t think we can use private loans for tuition, at least I never used it.

hope this helps

I responded to your DM but I will put this out here just for visibility. You can still file for AOS with the court and then use that I-485 to get an interim C09 EAD in the meantime. Obviously the court can't do anything with the I-485 until I-360 is approved, but the EOIR-42B from COR is in a similar position, while you don't have to wait on I-360 approval you're still placed into the 4,000/yr cap for COR.

So COR isn't the only option you have in regards to getting an EAD before I-360 approval.

Contradictions without citations only make you look dumb.
