@FeDaniela @Stillwinning!!!😊 @sandranj @John_

Hey guys, thank you for your previous support and advice.
I recently got I360 "Card being Produced" status, so assuming this means approval I came up with a question.
I have I485 pending since September 2018 based on marriage (adjustment from K-1 Visa) which is currently at NBC.
Do I need to mail NBC requesting to change I485 basis to approved I360 or should I take no action and just wait for an interview ?
Will this change maybe happen automatically at NBC once they received approved I360 from VSC ?

Ask your congressman to inquiry and see where is your I-485 now. They will schedule the interview and you have VAWA approved so you don’t need to ask to change it. When you go to your interview they will have it on file.

@Stillwinning!!!😊 @sandranj @FeDaniela @John_
I had my i130 interview April 5th. I handed over i360 receipt to the IO and requested to hold i485.

than after status of i130 was changed to “No one appear for in person processing”.

today, status of i485 changed to “Name was updated”

can someone explain? Is it something to worry?

Hello All, I am having such a hard time updating my address with USCIS. I sent few mails to update my address. Reached out to Congressmen, Senator, Congressmen havent got back to me yet but Senator does confirming my new address. I had info pass appointment and they confirm my new address too. And yet USCIS keep sending my mails on old address. RFE and recent bio appointment for I-360 has been sent on my old address. Luckily i forwarded mails to new address so i was able to have them.

What i am missing? I send AR-11 form to Vermont center with all receipts and letter requesting to update address and making sure they will send mails on right address.

I heard sometime USCIS do not forward mails if they are official like USCIS or IRS. not sure if that is true.

Oh yes! They have a huge issues with that! I feel your pain! I sent them so many letters because they were sending me mail one time to my shelters address one time for my current address. And my interview letter came to the shelters address.

It’s good that my case manager from shelter and I been in touch and they all they time checking on us so they called me immediately.

Otherwise I don’t know what would I do.

Im so scared they will send a GC not to my current address.

I don’t know why do they have such a mess with it.

I have a question regarding  witness affidavits from overseas.

My family met my abuser after we got married back in the old country. They got their statements ready - now main question - they don't speak English so what do we do?

Do we notarize them in my native language, then send them here to an authorized translator and notarize the translation and send it to VSC then or what?

thanks

I was just translating it by myself. My mom sent me an affidavit i got it translated In the best way  I could. My VAWA was approved.

Nothing to worry about! I’m sure the latest update has to do with your last visit to USCIS... your i485 will be held in abeyance pending when your i360 is adjudicated! 😊👍

Whatever the procedure for producing the statements (others here can advise you), be aware that notaries notarize signatures, not documents.  The translation itself could not properly be notarized.  Instead, the translator should supply a written statement about the translation, and the translator's signature on that statement would be notarized.  The executed statement would then be attached to the document(s) to which it refers. :)

Your out of processing time Vermont EAD processing time is on September 2020. Do an out of processing time e-request or contact congressman. Renewals are being delays is taking around 5-10 months I sent renewal on OCT. 2020 I just received my card on hand yesterday.  (6 months after)

Still waiting for an initial EAD/AP.

July 24 2020 filed petition with AOS

March 24 2021 did e-request for outside normal processing

April 13th my lawyer said he got a letter stating that USCIS can not provide any information online. Either lawyer has to do an inquiry or I have to mail Vermont.

I don't know if with VAWA cases e-request will work at all. My guess is not... unless there's incompetence from USCIS... conclusion... high chance?

A friend of mine did. NJ, reuse of biometrics. It was super fast imo. Can't think of exact dates but it was about 4 month. He also got an automatic prima renewal.

Yes E-Request not suppose to be responded if regarding VAWA applicant, but in my case it work,  I did it to get my I-360 approval Notice, they assigned to an officer and it was sent to me 3 days later. Another one was my EAD renewal in 2019 it was assigned to an officer 2 days later it was approved. For me had work for others they sent letters don't know why differences.

Hello @Shroy123 Congrats again. It is a huge burden lifted of off your shoulder. I needed some information. Here is my timeline:

I360, I765 and I485 filled together on November 2017. Vawa approved on July 2019 but due to my lawyer office address change I received it on December 2019. My I360 reads VAWA approved on September 2019. After that no change on my I-485 status. It still reads fees were waved on November 2017. I have no contact or status change with USCIS. would you please tell me how it goes for you. Mine doesn't even show transfer to local office and I haven't done my medical. When was your medical performed? Can I do the medical by myself to stay prepared or do I need to wait? I'm confused. thank you for making me feel comfortable to come and ask you.

Have a blessed day to you all!

Sorry for late response @Lola_lalo

you need to involve your congress person. And don’t do medicals unless uscis request it from you. Its a long wait and you need to inquire. Sometimes, uscis send interview notices without even changing status on their website.

Thanks Shroy, I sent an inquiry yesterday to my congressman office. I attached my NOA for I-485 and I-360 approval notice with the privacy release form. You all rock in this group. Thanks a lot for being supportive. We have a very sensitive case that we can't trust anyone except for our lawyer and this Forum. God bless you all @Stillwinning!!!😊@Shroy123@sandranj@TBoneTX and all of you. For those of you who couldn't get your approval yet or just filling guard your heart and stay positive. Keep doing what you are doing. It will come up on its time.
