You assumption is wrong, there is no such thing  as 'Vawa officers are always strict in approving men".USCIS  just follows the Immigration Law, NOTHING ELSE.

He can' t "file his case with BIA", the person can appeal and just 1% is approved.

But we have seen in so many  cases that they make some wrong denials and people goes to BIA and get approved !! Have seen many cases !! Some of them are just mean ..that is not but the fact and nothing can change that !!! That’s why I advise people to fight their case till the end and not just give up thinking they know what they are doing always ..sometimes they dnt know their job

So I applied for I360 with i485 together, and as I said 360 been approved since March 23,and now I can see some people say you have to “link” your 485 to case? I got super confused now

No mystery here..if there is, let me attempt to demystify.... basically if you have a pending i485 , usually the marriage based petition with your spouse... and then decide to file the i360, you have to ask the USCIS officer to hold the i485 pending when a decision is reached on your i360..this act saves you time as you wouldn’t have to file a new i485 when your i360 is approved!🙂

Hello Family @FeDaniela @sandranj @Stillwinning!!!😊 @dreamer1

I had my I130 interview today. I showed up for interview and asked officer to hold my I485 and wait for my I360 to be processed. Officer asked me several documents and ID.  Now the status of my i130 changed to "Case was updated To Show that No One Appeared for In-Person Processing"

Do you know what it is? is it something good or bad?

What is the status of your I-485? Since you applied for vawa, you no longer need the I-130. Did you show the officer your I-360 receipt?

Hello, new here, I have been dating my husband for 6 months before we got married. He turned my life into hell after that. It’s been 6 months since we are married. One of guy on other forum suggested me to wait for a while to file Vawa. As 6 months will be very short time and I will receive RFE

I already received RFE for co-sponsor and that jerk is not helping. I lost my independent student status because of him. I am almost ready with my packet but not sure if I shall wait little longer

does COVID gives another additional 60 days to respond to RFE? TIA

Status of my i485 is still the same " Interview was scheduled"  Yes i gave the copy of i360 receipt to interview officer than after i130 status changed to "Case Was Updated To Show That No One Appeared for In-Person Processing"

I am worried.

I have the same i485 status, but I didn’t attend my marriage interview, but sent them a letter asking to hold my i485. Since then (november 2018) my i485 has the status “Nobody showed up”

That was precisely what I wanted to know... if your petitions are linked! But you just confirmed it isn’t.. so you may have to initiate the moves! 👍

How do I do that ? It seems as per your reply that that will not happen automatically...correct ?
So should I sent mail to NBC requesting the change or should I inquire using congressman or senator ?
If its a letter, do you have a sample by any chance if you did this yourself ?
