Hey guys so I did fill i360 i485 together on just 2019,my vawa was approved on March 20 2021,but my i485 doesn’t have any changes since June 2019 and just says “case was received “! Should I be worry about it? How long u suggest I’ll have to wait for my i485 moves? Thx

congratulations on your VAWA approval.

No you should not worry at this moment. your VAWA just got approved. It depends where you living. For example, NYC field office is taking alot longer to adjust the status. You can check your field office how long they are taking to call for the interview.

You mean Jan 2019?

June 23 2019 they received my case

march 3 2021 got c31 ead

March 23 2021 got approval notice

Filled when I lived in Colorado now I do live in Illinois

so since what moment should I count the days on i485? Since they received it or since vawa got approved? Thx

I think it would start counting since the day you got approved if i am not mistaken. Let someone confirm. @Demise@FeDaniela@Pinkrlion

I get you... My initial package was huge! 4 years of marriage I bought everything for her. I had an interview that went no good. I actually now believe after everything that she did that on purpose... Does anybody have an experience like that?

You mean you already went to interview with your wife and she get you screwed up ?

@FeDaniela @Stillwinning!!!😊 @sandranj @John_

Hey guys, thank you for your previous support and advice.
I recently got I360 "Card being Produced" status, so assuming this means approval I came up with a question.
I have I485 pending since September 2018 based on marriage (adjustment from K-1 Visa) which is currently at NBC.
Do I need to mail NBC requesting to change I485 basis to approved I360 or should I take no action and just wait for an interview ?
Will this change maybe happen automatically at NBC once they received approved I360 from VSC ?

As long as your i485 is linked to your i360 you should be good! So remind me... did you initially ask for your i485 to be held pending i360 decision?🤷🏻‍♀️

Your days do not start counting until your file reaches NVC to start processing.  Once it is there your days count.  Also, it takes more than 2 weeks for your file to leave Vermont and go to NVC.

Hi @Pinkrlion,No schedule appointment ! USCIS will make decision after received the medical and birth certificate! Thank you!

Schedule your medical appt. and mail it in and they will make a decision without you having a formal interview at your local office.

Hi Sandra,

as you said all Vawa filers can get advance parole. Even if their previously asylum is  administratively closed?

i know someone who has asylum is administratively closed 10 years ago and now she has VAWA pending. She wants to get AP to travel to some where else apart from her home country. Can she get the AP?

You should not travel to your home Country, even if with asylum case  is closed, because USCIS will look your asylum case, and if they consider your asylum frivolous  then you might have your AOS denied.

Hello Everyone,

Please wat is the best way to get past the IVR on the uscis number, it keeps dropping my call saying she cannot help me and wont transfer me to an agent.

A VAWA filer should not call USCIS, because they are prohibited to give ANY information about your case.

Hello what’s going on ? How was your vawa denied ? Sorry for that !! That was a tough one !! Can I know what you submit for your i360..have you ever gone to interview with your spouse before ? What did you submit for the i360 as in what are the documents that you submitted ? You can file you case with the BIA ...vawa officers are always strict in approving men ,it’s only women they approve easily ,most men had to go extra mile before they can get approved only few men got it right easily !! So can we know the documents you submitted and how many months did you live together with your spouse ? Sorry to hear that !! God is your strength!!!

You assumption is wrong, there is no such thing  as 'Vawa officers are always strict in approving men".USCIS  just follows the Immigration Law, NOTHING ELSE.

He can' t "file his case with BIA", the person can appeal and just 1% is approved.

No, I never requested USCIS to hold my I485 until I360 is approved.
So my I485 is based on marriage.
Will I485 automatically update to be based on approved 360 once NBC receives I360 paperwork from VSC ? Or I need to take any actions ?

Once I-360 is approved they will forward everything internally VSC to NBC to Local office.  My I-485 was also base on marriage, I was able to hold it, I have being able to renew EAD every since. And recently local office just RFE for medical. So everything was automatically linked, & forward.

I never requested USCIS to hold I485 due to pending I360...
My I485 is in "Ready to be scheduled for an interview" since July 2019, but Interview never got scheduled...
So, will I485 update automatically to be based on approved I360 once NBC receives the case from VSC or I need to do something on my end ?

That was precisely what I wanted to know... if your petitions are linked! But you just confirmed it isn’t.. so you may have to initiate the moves! 👍
