They had issues with proving that we resided together and that we got married in good faith. I'm in the process of writing a detailed aftadavit. I also asked close friends and families for aftadavit as well

You are on the right track. Also see if you can get statement from landlord or neighbors who have seen you and spouse. Mails with your name and his name might help too. Address on bank statements, employer records are useful too. And send all pictures of you together with family  n friends. Good luck dear.

You can file from abroad if you prove that you left the U.S fleeing abuse.

Thanks Sandra. So since I filed in US (I360 + I485) and both are pending, can I decide go reside outside US for a while before they are approved? Does this would make USCIS consider I abandoned my case? Thank you!!!

Hi my VJ team, @Villanelle

Pls does it matter if no PF to be approved? My I360 receipt date is October 2020 and no PF yet, no RFE till date and no workauthorization yet. Has anyone been approved without PF?

I filed my I360 in December 2019 and also never received PF.

Thank you @sandranj I was worried that something went wrong the IO was firm and when he started to ask about my spouse and my Atthorney said no you can’t ask anything about that and the abuse he got irritated and I could hear the irritation in his voice and after the interview was done my attorney asked him is everything ok with my case when can we expect a decision and he was the decision wil be made by me I’m in control and it can take up to 120 days idk why he was so pissed at us hope he won’t deny my case based on personal reasons.

He will  not deny your case because he was mad, but he might hold your case for a while. I always tell my clients that they don't have to answer about the abuse, but if the officer asks  then answer the questions otherwise they  will create a problem with the officer. The officer can ask what he wants about your spouse, they are instructed not to  ask about the abuse.

You will be fine as long as you reenter the U.S before your advance parole expires ok.  DO NOT LEAVE THE U.S WITHOUT THE ADVANCE PAROLE.

I was asked yes/no questions and when I entered the country. No questions on vawa were asked. But if they do, I believe you can politely ask to speak with supervisor as vawa is not in their jurisdiction.

Thanks for the clarification on the interview questions. I was worried I would have to go through explaining the hard times that made me file  for VAWA...

Guys my pf expires tomorrow, I have written vermont 2 times and nothing yet, do I write them again immediately or do I wait for some time? And congrats to everyone who got approved.

I would say wait few days. I do not know what's their criteria for sending PF?

I got mine second 2 weeks ago. I did not even requested.

When did your first one expire? My financial aid depends on it and my school already sent me notice for updates document which is why I'm worried.

Hi Sandra,

Do you know what happens if an applicant misses their GC interview because they are I'll with possible covid?

The person should inform  USCIS asap otherwise they will deny the case.
