Hi VJ FAM!

I posted about "card was delivered" few days back, and was told it means approved. :) God Bless he has been so kind and I pray and wish all of your prayers are answered soon.

I received my EAD CARD UNDER C31 category and there is an error in my name. I have two questions please help me! @sandranj

@TBoneTX @Stillwinning!!!😊 please shed some light too

I was married when I applied for the vawa Aug 2019 and therefore I got the EAD CARD under my married name.

I got divorce finalized on September 2019 as per the divorce decree. I believe this is not exactly and error but more of a marital status change issue. I am back to my maiden nam.

question

1) How long will it take for me to get back the amended new card after I send it back for correction? I am afraid of the know the timeline since I already applied for jobs.

2) In the mean time can I work with the copy of the incorrect card with the old married name? Is it eligible still to work while I wait until I get the new card?

I received my work permit after 2 years and I applied to jobs already and finally hoping a better life. I don want to be heart broken again to wait long time. Just want to start working right away. Please please help me about this and tell me if I can work.

ps: my attorney is out of state and out of reach but im in a very nail biting situation. Please help me know the facts.

THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH IN ADVANCE VJ FAM

LOVE

Congratulations🥳🥳

I don’t think so, but  if the business involved his money then yes

She’s going (was question for my friend ) to get her new business now and she sent vawa years ago, how could be her ex money involved. It was my question.
Nothing is him, they live separate almost 2 year but still in marriage. Does he divide his business when she  gets a  divorce?

I have a question,

i have  previous i485 held in abeyance but my lawyer filed a new i485 anyways,

now that im approved . which one would they use.

does uscis knows about the pending i485 in my local office?

will it make it faster for interview?

anyone experienced this?

Oh boy. My lawyer did the same. I had two pending I-485s, and at the interview the officer complained that I had two pending. The lawyers should not do that.  I think having tow pending I-485s creates such a mess at USCIS. When I was called for an interview, the officer said that he will have to deny the marriage-based one because I can't have two pending petitions. I am still waiting for the decision on the VAWA-based after my interview in Jan
