Hello guys. So I went for my green card interview today and was approved on the spot. Questions were based on I-485. I only needed to correct my birthday and update my new job. The IO was very friendly. Thank you to everyone in this forum. Being here has been very therapeutic for me. Stillwinning, sandraj, and everyone else, God bless you and I pray God grant approvals to all that are still waiting.

I-360 filed in August 2018

about two RFE’s

I-360 was approved in August 2020

I-485 application was received September 2020

i-485 transferred in November 2020

Biometric in February 2020

interview and approval today June 9 2021 and card is being produced.

Congratulations! What State are you from?

Gillibrand is usually very responsive.. give her this week let’s see what happens. Stay strong for your mental/psychological health. I know it’s tough but the end is beautiful!😊👍

Thanks, trying to be strong. It sucks because I will be losing my job this October since the renewal has not been issued yet.

Card being produced - JUNE 2021

Yee-HAAAAA!

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

I have a new case update "Card was delivered to me by the post office" does this mean that my wava is approved as well?

Hi VJ FAM!

I posted about "card was delivered" few days back, and was told it means approved. :) God Bless he has been so kind and I pray and wish all of your prayers are answered soon.

I received my EAD CARD UNDER C31 category and there is an error in my name. I have two questions please help me! @sandranj

@TBoneTX @Stillwinning!!!😊 please shed some light too

I was married when I applied for the vawa Aug 2019 and therefore I got the EAD CARD under my married name.

I got divorce finalized on September 2019 as per the divorce decree. I believe this is not exactly and error but more of a marital status change issue. I am back to my maiden nam.

question

1) How long will it take for me to get back the amended new card after I send it back for correction? I am afraid of the know the timeline since I already applied for jobs.

2) In the mean time can I work with the copy of the incorrect card with the old married name? Is it eligible still to work while I wait until I get the new card?

I received my work permit after 2 years and I applied to jobs already and finally hoping a better life. I don want to be heart broken again to wait long time. Just want to start working right away. Please please help me about this and tell me if I can work.

ps: my attorney is out of state and out of reach but im in a very nail biting situation. Please help me know the facts.

THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH IN ADVANCE VJ FAM

LOVE

Is not unusual to get fingerprints notice this days and there are some 2018 filers still waiting,

usualy if you are on FBI background check it takes time for your case, but whatever it is you might be very close to be approved and remember patient is the key to this journey 😊

Hello everyone,

I received a letter today from Dallas Field office to attend an appointment on 06/25. Has anyone received such letter?

- Is this like a I-485 interview appointment or do I need to just submit my medicals like an RFE on the date of appointment?

- The receipt number on the appointment is of my I-485 but the reason for the appointment is mentioned as I-130 on the letter. I am guessing this is a typo..
- Any additional documents I need to take to the appointment?

My VAWA got approved in Nov 2020. Please let me know if this like an RFE for medical without an interview. Thanks.

We have the same timeline. Mine is Sept 6, 2018. Case approved last July 2020. No update since then. I-485 has no updates at all

No, I-130 has already been withdrawn Jan 2019 and got the notice for it. Only my 485 is pending.
