I am confused I always traveled with my ID only domestic.  They  never asked for anything.

Technically Puerto Rico is not domestic.  It is a US Territory just like the US Virgin Islands.  They can ask you for proof of travel before boarding including having your passport.  Is your NY ID a Real ID that also makes a difference.

When did you mail I-485?  If you recently filed your I-485, instead of it pending prior to VAWA petition you will not get this courtesy.

If you filed for your I-485 recently and did not include your I-693, you will receive a RFE to submit it or they will deny your I-485 because you did not file a complete petition.  What exactly did you receive in April about I-693?

I Mailed I-485 and I-360 together on August 2016. On April 22,2021 received a letter with I-693 . Did not submit the medicals back in 2016 advised by my lawyer.  Thanks

I was confused and scared as well. Everything went smooth tho. Take also in consideration that was the "Trump era" but I wasn't new to such experience because a friend has warned me but didn't believe it. I just decided to not take a chance and bring all the paper work with me anyway.

Now I'm having same doubt for my next Hawaii's trip. AP or not AP? LOL

Maybe try to call USCIS information center or the airport in San Juan.

I have heard back from my lawyer and they have said, that PR often requires AP and etc. due to the fact that your plane has a high chance to land outside of the US (hurricanes and other emergencies) + they often face illegal immigration issues, while Hawaii is in the middle of the ocean and there’s simply nowhere to land in between, so they do not check anything.

basically the chances of you getting checked on the way back from Hawaii are the same, as if you were flying back from Florida or Cali etc. No AP is required.

Now I’m surprised you were asked for AP on a Miami-NYC flight! Wow!🤔

Oh nooo! Sorry for the misunderstanding. The flight was PR to (Miami-NYC =layoff in Miami).
Never asked to proved immigration status on regular mainland flights.

Great, so they asking to mail in your medicals. Myself and a few others just got the request to mail ours in as well, go ahead and get yours and mail them in as soon as possible, hopefully we all get approved without interview🙏🏽

That’s not what the letter is saying 😂.

it’s just noting that the medicals were not submitted along with the application. It’s not a RFE to send the medicals.

Just received my C31 EAD card today. It was mailed to my old address on Nov/2020 (even after I sent them 3-4 letters asking to update my address).
So it looks like they forwarded it over to my new address. Today I received my C31 card with the issue date of 11/2020.

No updates online, nothing. The card just showed up today!

DAMN!!!!! That’s crazzzy. It took USCIS 6 months to fix the issue with your address.. Anyways congrats

This letter does not say mail in the medicals.  It says if they can be mailed when asked for otherwise, bring to interview.
