Hello dear, this comes from my personal experience. Travelled to Puerto rico in 2019 and then moved to us virgin island (all us territory). While at the airport for my flight back to Miami-nyc they asked my passport and my advance parole.
So from my personal experience I would suggest your friend to do not travel out of mainland without AP.

That’s pretty strange, considering that PR is not outside of the US, therefore, should not require an AP to re-enter. I mean, immigration does not follow the law at all times, but either way they should not be able to detain anyone based on the fact that they do not have a travel document on a domestic flight.

Crazy. Now I’m kinda concerned about my Hawaii trip.

The requirement is for it to be notarized. The ones from outside USA may just be signed and dated. I had a couple of affidavits from home country that weren’t notarized!👍

Awesome ! So i can get letters from people outside the country ?
and also can i send them cinema tickets for both of us ? Flight trips that have been canceled dated with our names to gather  !?
with a statement from me explaining every event ??

Hello,

I have been a follower for several threads now. I am a approved vawa petitioner. I filed i485 and recently received a NOID on grounds of inadmisabilility. I was brought here as a child and left and returned as an adult. My departure and return is connected to the abuse. I have been given an opportunity to provide additional evidence to support my petition.

I have an attorney, however I have not been in contact with her, as I was notified on Friday afternoon and wasn't able to speak with her. I have an idea of what to do, but I came here to ask for help and advice.

Do I need to submit a waiver? Or will the additional evidence suffice?

Thank you in advance.

2/2018 i360, i485, EAD filed

*3PF

8/2019 vawa approved

12/02/2020 i485 interview

5/2021 NOID received

You must  apply for the waiver if you can prove  a connection  between the abuse suffered, your departure and reentry.

It’s not like you’re telling them what to say...they’ll just state everything they already know about you and your spouse... when and how it all started, their relationship to you or your spouse, their involvement if any. Yes you can send USCIS those documents you mentioned above with explanations. Be big on details as I’ve advised. You should be fine.👍

Hallo VJ family,

I have been watching the forum for a while now. Thanks to everyone that’s helping with replies. I received recently a notification on my I-360 that said “New Card is being produced “. Just wanted to ask if anyone has had the same thing before? And how long does it take to mail the “card”? I am a may 2019 filer....

Almost everyone that’s been approved got that update so congratulations 🍾🎉🎈🎊 you’re approved. You should be getting the card in a week or so.😊👍

Although PR is considered a US Territory, she should not leave 48 state land

Technically yes and no. It's a gamble. I know quite a few people going to PR without any problem - without status - but I also know GC holders who were stopped and asked about their status. I wouldn't gamble

Agree with the situation being strange. I wasn’t expecting that but thankfully I had everything with me. Also the person that was traveling with me had to show visa stamp and some questions were asked.
(For me was just “ please your status” and then “have a great day and hope you had fun!”)

local people told me that because of the “water border” is easier to enter the island without inspection, so before making you travel to main land the verify your status.

I want to go to Hawaii too in January and I’m researching a lot! I will keep you updated if I found any reliable and safe info.

I am planning on going in January as well

well, I guess it helps a lot that HI is in the middle of the ocean and there’s nowhere to land in between if you fly from Cali (from what I have seen)

Thank you, I appreciate it :)

Hello all,

Thanks for all your well wishes 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

Question: I have a friend in removal proceeding with AOS pending. She does not have AP with her EAD. She is planning to go to Puerto Rico on vacation, is this a good idea? Can she go there and come back without issues?

If she steps foot outside the US while in removal proceedings regardless of whether she has a pending AOS or not, she will be considered “self-deported” and she cannot come back.

if i were her i would wait till AOS then travel. Puerto rico will always be there.
