Go to the interview and show them you vawa receipt. Ask them to put your I-485 on hold and link it to you vawa case!

Thank you

also how soon do they schedule interview for? They still haven’t updated my address so i’m not sure if i’d get the interview info on time

Hi guys!

By the way. I’ve figured out why so many letters from USCIS we’re going to the wrong address.

So when I was having an interview I’ve noticed one thing.
In my I-485 me and the officer changed the address from the shelter address to my current one.
And than I realized. After I moved out from  my ex’s house And went to shelter i changed his address yo the shelter address.

It was changed in form with red pen.

Than after I moved out from shelter I changed my shelters address to my current one. But here is the deal.

My I-360 was applied while I was in shelter so they changed the address to my current one just in I-360 and everything what was tied to I-485 we’re going to the shelters address when I was applying for VAWA and changed address after moving out from my ex’s

So that’s why my NOA was lost. Because they have this mess in addresses and things are not tied together and not updated alas it supposed to be.

Hope they will handle it better.
By the way I even didn’t get my VAWA notice.

It still lost.

And I even didn’t get a status change to showing that my interview was scheduled.

So it was a complete surprise for me.

This problem has persisted -- across all visa & petition types -- for as long as I've been on VisaJourney.

I moved once (comfortably between Mrs. T-B.'s AOS & ROC) with no issues.

However, people in apartments, shelters, and temporary housing consistently have problems.

USCIS often can't seem to find either butt-cheek with both hands plus outside help.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Hey guys! Is it risky to travel on AP while you have already applied for an AP renewal? My current card expires in August but I already applied for a new one as I am within the 120 days to reapply. My i-360 approval letter came April 22nd. Thanks.

@saraa88, its not but pls dont overstay your current AP. Just to be safe

I don't know where you live but you don't want to come back to US through Chicago!. Multiple people had many problems... AP denied, temp and perm residents interrogated, placed in deffered action etc etc. NYC should be a breeze, Atlanta, and California in general. Anybody else have an idea?

Oh yes! They are doing not great with addresses. Just sad that because of this we need to wait too long. Like. I still didn’t get VAWA approval notice. Even tho it was approved 6 months ago.

I was so stressed. I was writing them letters. Asked our congressman for help. But it was in vain.

The address issue is really serious, I would like to know how you were able to go for interview without the notice, I got notice for medical since February sent to my old address and nothing since then, also changed address.
