The form you posted seems more appropriate for a CR1 case.  For K1, they would not need evidence of before and after photos/communications from your "wedding", I-864 is not relevant, and co-mingling of finances is not expected.

Submit what you can, with a photocopy the notarized statement from your fiance.  Also, add a fresh signed and notarized statement from each of you that you are engaged to each other and intend to marry within 90 days of arriving to the US with a K1 visa.

Thank you! I’m making a note of all the suggestions I’m receiving here. Thank you so much.

Sounds like you got such a horrible CO! Unsure how it’s his/hers business about how interesting your meeting is. Blows my mind.

At least the instructions on the form are clear. Overload them with so much evidence they’re sorry they even asked! You got this 😊💪🏽

Weird, that seems like a good way to meet.  Maybe the COs hate language in general. My fiance was asked if he thought it was suspicious that I had come to his country to learn a local language (how we met).

through visajourney.com forum? Maybe that's why he found it weird if it was this one? Because there wouldn't be much reason other than looking for people going through the same situations as you to be here would be my thought? Regardless, it doesn't matter... your case sounds strong, you've met a few times and if it's back to 2016 that you've been talking... pfff... I wouldn't even worry! Just send in everything they requested and you'll get through, I'm sure. This whole process is made to weed out "fake" couples... it's the same as in universities, the first class is always the hardest, to weed out people. A couple that can't handle a little heat doesn't want to be together enough! I promise it's no different in other countries. I had to show LOADS of evidence in Spain as well for me to get a visa through my fiance to stay here. Don't let it stress you!!!!! Keep going!!

That's rude. I personally find this conversation interesting and something I like to do personally. Cultures/languages can take such a different meaning for the same exact thing. Send in all the information you have and I'm sure you'll get approved automatically. Perhaps the problem is that you gave too much detail? A few of the senior members have said to answer the question directly without additional detail, ie we met on forum X where we had a discussion on languages, that led to us continuing convos and meeting in person on  MM/DD/YYYY.

NOT through the visajourney forum NO. Thank you for the support :) I hope so too. We did quality over quantity while sending in the I-129f so anyone thinking of taking the same route will hopefully read all this and decide against it.

Don't think I gave too much detail. I am a private person and was uncomfortable enough answering questions about my relationship with all other visa applicants hanging onto every word I said behind me anyway. I did get flustered halfway through the brief Q and A with the CO. The visa applicant lady in the next counter had her kid with her. The kid came over to my counter because lady was busy talking to her CO. My CO stopped me from saying something and he went like "Is that your KID?". I looked around and saw a little girl playing next to me. The CO asked me to ask her to go. I lost my composure for sure after this.

I think before the pandemic, applicants were able to drop off 221g documents at the nearest document drop off location anytime they chose to. Now I think we can only drop off documents after booking an appointment. Can you all please take a look at my appointment confirmation and the 221g instructions and let me know if my interpretation of the situation is correct?

1) My appointment letter says that the location is Mumbai on 16th April. I live in Kolkata.

2) The 221g instruction says that I should drop off the documents on the appointment date (16th April) to any of the 11 document drop off location in India.

So what I understand is that I take the documents and go to the Document drop off location in Kolkata on my appointment as per the first image date right?

The British pronunciation of Aluminium may be the most romantic in the English language) Anyway, the best of luck to you. I hope everything works out. You just got unlucky in the draw of the consular officer that day.

Finally done...

Hello everyone. I’m in tears right now. I’m had a horrible interview experience. Wasn’t asked anything beyond how did you meet and when I answered the officer said “that’s weird”. More judgments were passed about my relationship and then I was kept standing for 10 minutes and the officer came back with this paper and told me to submit and follow the instructions. No asking me for photos or anything. Nothing. I feel so helpless.

Can anyone please help me understand what to do with the last two points ticked about the notarization in India and USA? Do I need to submit the US notarized documents in original?

HOW MUCH delay should I expect now to get approved once everything is submitted? (If I ever get approved that is).

Please help :,(
