I got married in the USA, I came back to Brazil while my husband is still in Florida.

We applied for the CR1 visa and are now in the NVC phase.

I haven't registered my marriage in Brazil yet, and someone told me that I need to do this in the NVC phase. That's true?

Do I really have to register my marriage in Brazil for NVC to approve my case?

As far as I am aware, your marriage being registered in your country has zero association with NVC or US visa process.

Removal of Conditions:

File Date - January 11, 2023

Package Delivered - January 13, 2023

NOA Received Dated - January 13, 2023

NOA Notice Date - January 18, 2023

You're required to upload a copy of your marriage certificate as part of the Civil Documents at the NVC phase.

Note that it specifically says:

Quote

If you are or have been married, you must obtain original marriage certificate/s or certified copies of EVERY marriage.

and

Quote

If you were previously married, you must obtain evidence of the termination of EVERY prior marriage you have had. Your evidence must be an original or certified copy of one of the following documents: FINAL legal divorce decree, death certificate, or annulment papers.

The "you" above refers to you as the beneficiary/visa applicant, not your husband.

If you got married in the US and had no prior marriages, then nothing else should be needed besides your current marriage certificate. Be ready to take the original or certified copy to the interview.

If you had any prior marriages in Brazil, look at the section that says Marriage, Divorce Certificates on this page about documents accepted from Brazil.

All you need is a legal marriage certificate from the jurisdiction where the marriage took place.

Note that the NVC stage is when/where YOU apply for a visa.  Before that, "you" did not apply for anything.  Your spouse filed a petition.  The petition approval opens the door for YOU to apply for a visa.
