Hello,

My fiance is living in Colombia but is a Venezuelan national.  We are still in NOA1 waiting for NOA2.  While we are waiting I am wondering what we have to do to get the police certificate for Venezuela.  Is there a time frame it's valid for?  If we start the process now and get it too soon does it expire?  He doesn't plan on returning to Venezuela as his passport there is expired nd he cannot leave until it's renewed which is another question for another day lol.

Thanks!

This is what my fiancé used to get his Police Certificates and he had them in a couple days.

The only bit I am confused about is the validity. I just spoke with the embassy about 2 weeks ago and they informed me that Police Certificates from Colombia and Venezuela have a 1 year validity from the date requested. 😬
