Have you read the thread?

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

No, that’s not possible, as I’m not able to get back there. We’ve already been together for over 2 years, I don’t see why that would be an issue!

It would be a major issue because actual in-person meeting DURING or AFTER the wedding is required.  Please read the thread from the beginning.  I know it's long, so here's the reminder from the OP specifically about that requirement --

Then it would be denied.

At the very least, marriages must be consummated for USCIS to accept them as valid, so you cannot file the I-130 until you've been with each other physically after the marriage. Period. No shortcutting it.

We consummated the marriage for over 2 years before. The US taking 2 years to approve K-1’s from the Philippines now, sucks big-time!

If they can't come to the US because they have no Visa, and you can't go there for whatever reason, you'll need to meet a third place if you ever want to file for the CR1

Are you married now?

No, I was going to do a K-1 until I found out how long they’re taking. Also, my marriage letter had expired before I left the Philippines and they weren’t renewing them at the time. Many k-1’s now are taking 650 days or so from the Philippines.

If you are married now - it's too late for a K-1 regardless.

If you are married now and you have not seen each other in person since being married, you have not consummated and cannot file CR1.

If you are married and have seen each other since marriage in person, you can file CR1.

If you are not married, you can file K1, or marry, meet in person, and file CR1.

Those are you options.

Uh, you can't consummate a marriage before it occurs.

If you want to get married to file the CR1, the Utah route is convenient, cheap, and can work, though there are no guarantees. If you decide to do that but do not meet in person, your marriage will not be considered valid in the eyes of USCIS, your petition will be invalid, and you will have wasted your time.

You'll find all details on how to go about marrying through Utah in this post, and you can message me for any questions. But nothing can change what I've said above about consummating, so that will need to be the end of that in this post.

Good luck

You can't consummate a marriage before the wedding even occurs.  What USCIS and the embassy in Manila will require for the CR1 process is for you to meet in person during or after the wedding.

I wonder how this would work in my situation? Back in January of 2019 I moved to the Philippines to live with my girlfriend, we lived together until February of 2021, when I couldn’t stand the covid restrictions there any longer and moved back to the US. I’m wondering if all I need to do is this Zoom marriage like you did and process the marriage paperwork instead of the K-1 paperwork like I was getting ready to do? It seems the Philippines is taking close to 2 years for K-1 visas.

You would still need to consummate the marriage afterwards to make it recognized by USCIS—so would have to meet in person after the zoom marriage, before you can apply for the Spousal Visa
