Greencard extension about to expire!

I applied for the conditions to be lifted from my Greencard in September 2019. I received confirmation of payment and a letter that stated my Greencard was extended for 18 months while the application was being processed.

 

my account online still says “being reviewed” and the 28 months will expire in afew weeks...I am beginning to panic! When it expires I will nit be able to continue in college or work or anything. Does anyone know if there is an option to extend it AGAIN or should I just go down the citizenship route?

No need to panic.  Everything has been delayed.  Some of us applied in March 2019....and we are still waiting.

Senior Master Sergeant, US Air Force- Retired (after 20+ years)- Missile Systems Maintenance & Titan 2 ICBM Launch Crew Duty (200+ Alert tours)

Registered Nurse- Retired- I practiced in the areas of Labor & Delivery, Home Health, Adolescent Psych, & Adult Psych.

IT Professional- Retired- Web Site Design, Hardware Maintenance, Compound Pharmacy Software Trainer, On-site go live support, Database Manager, App Designer.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

There is no additional extension letter. Your status does not expire when the extension letter does.  If you need evidence of status, you can get an appointment at USCIS for a stamp in your passport.

Thank you so much! I am going to do this; I’m a full time nursing student and was worried I would not be able to continue in school.
