My son got his Medical exam expiration date June 31, 2021. And his visa expiration is end of Sept.2021. Which date should I follow? The date the medical expires or the date the visa expires?

Doesn't he need to have a valid medical clearance upon arrival in the US?

No.  The visa has an expiration date.  He can travel as long as it is valid.

Confirming this. We had same and asked the embassy who issued it. They told us the date on the visa is the one that matters.

I will say we were nervous about it..we entered 5 days before the visa expired (cutting it that fine is absolutely not something I’d recommend in retrospect by the way), and that was about 2 months after the medical had expired. No problem at all.

I think I'm gonna have my son leave two months before the visa expired specially in this Pandemic we never know when is the next lockdown.I hope it won't happen again.
