We received an email from the NVC February 24 scheduling our interview for March 11 at 11:30 am. As you can see here:

I emailed the San Jose consulate to verify whether or not we needed apostilles or translations after someone said we did but all of the paperwork said we didn't, and they replied yesterday:

Then this morning, I received an email from San Jose, Consular 36 "consular36@state.gov" that says this:

But our interview is already scheduled and we were already told that it is not required to have apostille or translation. Please advise, this is making me extra nervous considering we have less than 24 hours before interview.

There are no apostille requirements in the US Spouse visa process.  This is a non-issue.

If you read this carefully, you will see that the second screenshot is consistent with what the IV Unit told you over email.

What it says is that if you have documents (e.g. birth certificate, police certificate, marriage certificate) from other countries (i.e. other than the US or Costa Rica), then you need an Apostille and Translation.

Since you asked the IV unit about Costa Rican documents, I am guessing that there are no documents from any other country and this is a non-issue.

Thanks all.

I guess my main concern was that it was telling me to schedule the interview even though I already have an interview tomorrow.
