I-134..no signature in Income Tax Return Form

Hello everyone,

My husband emailed me a copy of his income tax return forms. I noticed that there is no signature in the

"Paid Preparer's Use Only - Preparer's Signature" part. I called his attention about it, and he said that we don't need the Preparer's signature and that is the only copy he had. I asked him to let them sign it, and I am having a hard time getting his cooperation because of his work schedule, especially that our interview is a month from now already.

Will this copy (no signature) suffice?

Not sure about the signature but I believe it should be notarized also on the front page. I requested the actual transcript from the IRS and just signed on the bottom then the notary signed it and put the notarized stamp on it.

If his signature is required can you fax it to him and then fax back. It's just a copy anyways.

Good luck,

Charlie

I disagree.. ITR doesnt have to be notarized. Only the I-134Form. :)

About the prepares' signature affixed on Form-1040, my fiances' ITR copy doesnt have too.. But I think it is not a big deal coz they have the signatures on their file. It actually says "Signature on File"..

don't worry that will not be an issue. that is only used when you have someone ( H&r Block, tax accountant) prepare your return. It's for IRS purposes. Embassy doesn't care who did your taxes, only want to see the income.

as has been stated only the I-134 itself needs to be notarized.

best of luck with your interview.
