For those who went through the Rio consolate or are familiar with the area, Which is the closest citibank to the the consolate?

She is planning to stay at the Embassador or Hotelok, which I've read is within walking distance to the consolate. The price of a nights stay for 2, is about the price of staying in Waikiki. According to them, there is some sort of athletic thing going on at this time so it seems they jacked the prices up. Unbelievable, but thats another story. Anyway, if anyone knows which is the closest, it would be a big help for us.

Also, just in case, I've read that people sell the receipts outside the consolate. Is this true? On the actual receipt is there anything written on it, case number etc.

Thanks

I don't know the answer - but you can look it up on-line. I did that.

We stayed in Botafogo and there was a Citibank nearby - in walking distance. We paid the visa fee the day before the interview.
