Hey guys, I was approved at my K1 interview last week & have already received my passport back with my visa in it!

I plan on going over in May, I was just wondering since I check on the timelines & they‘re kind of confusing me.

What is the average timeline for all steps of the AOS process at the moment all the way up until green card if approved?

1 to 2 years depending on location.

There is an AOS forum that you should visit as questions such as this are actively discussed

YMMV

Jesus that’s horrible, we picked K1 because it was quicker, we’ve already been waiting since 2019 for the K1

Pre pandemic,  k1 was quicker to entry but was never quicker to green card

In 2018, policy was changed to require all k1 AOS applicants to be interviewed.   This immediately backed the system up.  The USCIS was close to getting back to pre policy change levels (ours was 10 months in Feb 2020) then covid-19 hit.

Some offices are doing better than others.  Look up on the uscis processing times for the i485 and then select your local office to see how they are doing

YMMV
