Hi all, with the current pandemic, I assume i130 applications for spouse would be at an all time low. Is this true?

If I file for my spouse who is in India, whats the turnaround time? By any chance, in 6 months only??

I don't think that is the case.  Any reduction in numbers would be offset by the massive backlog at NVC and consulates.  In pre-Covid days, the average time from filing an I-130 to visa in hand was 12-18 months.  Now, the average is probably closer to 2 years.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

I don't understand how permanent resident file is processed faster than a US citizen

Based on the USCIS site, a permanent resident whose receipt date for enquiry is on August 11, 2020 filing for spouse will take 1 week to 7 months

For US citizen filing for spouse with receipt date of enquiry on April 10,2020 will take 8.5 to 11 months.

And that is only for the I-130 approval part of the process.

When i filed CR1 at beginning of 2019 it has taken us 2 years and 2 weeks just to get to medical and interview and still not done, she was hit with sputum test as of yesterday starting medical.  So now our interview is now pushed back even further now

Ohok. Sorry to hear that. However, from what I read, the medical is limited to certain items only. I don't recall seeing this item as one.

All immigration medical exams are pretty basic.  However, some findings require additional diagnostic procedures.....such as scars found during a chest X-ray.

Luckily Mumbai is open and conducting interviews and so far they have processed up to Sept 2020 DQs. So we are only five months behind. The biggest variable will be when USCIS approves your application. 😁
