Another Question (Sorry I am so annoying)

On my husbands checklist in packet 3, it askes only for the I-134 Affidavit of Support for the K3 Visa interview. I also e-mailed the consulate and asked them and they said that he should bring that to the interview with him.

Now I am looking at the requirements to change his status so that we can hopefully get that in before the rate increase. The change of status calls for the I-864 Affidavit of Support as well. Should I just send them both since I have a duplicate copy of the I-134? Why do they need both? Does the Australian Embassy keep the I-134 without forwarding it?

Am I over thinking this?

AOS requires the I-864. Sneding the I-134 is pointless.

Apparently the I-864 is more enforceable under law than the I-134 so it is used for the Adjustment of Status Affidavit of Support. Just send the I-864 and its attachments with the AOS application and use the I-134 for the K-3 interview at the Consulate as requested. Immigration already has enough trouble with things done in the approved manner - you don't want to confuse them needlessly! Good luck at the interview.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”
