Hello everyone. It's been a while and hope everyone's situation is better than mine.

My wife came here in a K1 Visa. We got married approx 1 year ago. She received her perm resident card about 6 months ago. We're having serious problems and may get divorced.

Here's my question:

If we get separated or divorced, will she be forced to go back to her home country? She currently has her perm resident card.

Thanks everyone,

G

giannidellavigne,

Of course, noone here can say for certainty if your wife will be made to return to her home country if you divorce, but it is possible for her to Remove Conditions successfully and receive her GC if you both entered into your marriage in good faith.

This forum may have some more useful advice for your situation.
