Where is the accountability to tax payers? there is none, Democrats don't care in the least what the American people want, their accountability lies solely to Public Employee Unions and Environmental groups that have heavily funded their re-election campaign's, which is where a lot of this money is going, this more of a payback bill than a Covid relief bill....

As for Biden, the more this Senile old man tries to talk, the more I'm convinced he was wearing a listening device in both debates, you must have... What you see is Biden being restrained from displaying any original thought of his own,  his handlers know that if he displays his own thoughts, they'd be hearing calls from his own party to invoke the 25th amendment to get him out of office..  And this is the guy who has access to the Nuclear codes? OMG,  the only comfort I can find in that is he'll more than likely press the wrong numbers.

It is so disturbing that the Dems and the media keep trying to sell this as a Covid Relief bill.  I love how Manchin broke his promise about not voting for this along strict Party lines.

The big issue is the GOP is not so good either.  The massive sizes of the last few "Covid" bills have been mostly pushed by the GOP except for this one.  The only thing that can be said is that the GOP also likes to spend freely those taxpayer dollars, but the Dems like to spend more.  The debt to GDP ratio is heading in the wrong direction, and there will be a reckoning at some point.

I agree to the out of control spending on both sides, but the massive wasteful spending in this bill doesn't compare to previous bills, over $700 in this bill doesn't relate to Covid at all, which goes to the OP's point the Biden lied out right to $350 Million people where their money is being spent...  As for the reckoning, when you flush the economy with this amount of cash, once the economy rebounds post Covid, consumers are going to spend like never before and inflation is going to go through roof.

Yeah, I am a little surprised that someone like Janet Yellen is really behind this with the potential of huge inflation being a real thing.  This entire package is a real Leftist Santa Claus list that almost no one is talking about designed to help out the Dems political allies and they do not care that the money from the other bills has not even been spent yet.  Btw, I loved Manchin breaking his bipartisan promise and voting for this on strict Party lines.  Personally, I do not trust him to hold out on the filibuster.

As to the video, I finally watched it, and doesn’t Kamala look a lot more like a minder than the VeeP?

We should rename this thread "The Daily Joe Biden Senility Progress" thread.  Not only did Biden forget Lloyd Austin's name, but also his position as well as the fact that the DoD is headquartered in the Pentagon.

Biden seems to forget defense secretary’s name, calls him ‘the guy who runs that outfit’

President Biden on Monday seemed to forget Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin’s name at a White House event — calling the Pentagon chief “the guy who runs that outfit over there.”

Biden was announcing the nomination of two female generals to lead US military combatant commands.

“And I want to thank the sec — the, the, ah former general. I keep calling him general, but my, my — the guy who runs that outfit over there,” Biden said.

“I want to make sure we thank the secretary for all he’s done to try to implement what we just talked about. And for recommending these two women for promotion.”

Earlier at the event, Biden mentioned the Defense Department leader by his name, “Secretary Austin,” while appearing to read from a teleprompter.

VP Kamala Harris takes another solo call with a world leader

Vice President Kamala Harris had another call with a foreign leader Tuesday, independent of President Biden.

Harris spoke with the prime minister of Norway, Erna Solberg, where Harris "affirmed her commitment to deepening the strong alliance between Norway and the United States."

" The Vice President thanked the Prime Minister for Norway’s close security partnership with the United States and generous contributions to development and health security efforts around the world," according to a readout of the call.

I posted in a previous thread that once a stutterer overcomes stuttering that it couldn't come back, I was wrong when I posted that, I've been reading more on the subject that shows it can come back later in life for some people..  From observing Biden, he clearly displays many of the characteristics of a Stutterer, The one you quote for example, I believe he knows "Loyd Austins" name, but he knows he's going to block on it, so instead he substitutes his name for something else, using "General"..  Word substitution is what stutterers commonly do to avoid a block, and they'll avoid a block at all costs, even if it makes them look forgetful or come off as sounding dumb...  With that said, I still believe Biden sufferers cognitively, and the two may very well be connected.

I was merely stating what some in the media are pushing.  The "but...but..but" was not mocking anything other than the media's injecting lies. Besides, I have heard a lot of Biden's speeches in the past 40+ years.  I don't recall any issue of stuttering.  Anyway, the point is that Biden is deteriorating in front of our eyes.  It's a very sad situation for him and his family.

So have I, I didn't know it until he ran against Trump that he stuttered when he was young, he clearly overcame it, but as I said in my post, it can come back later in life and I believe that it has.. And you're right, he's deteriorating by the week and the media is ignoring it, it will get to a point that they cant ignore it or make excuses for him anymore, that's when we'll see him being replaced by Kamala, and I don't see him holding out either.
