I got my interview date! It says to bring proof that I registered with selective service, but I was 31 when I was granted a green card and came into the USA to immigrate. Is that a mistake on my interview letter or was I supposed to register? I remember trying to register but they wouldn’t let me because of my age. It was almost a decade ago. Did anything change with regard to that rule?

Interview is scheduled for February 18, 2022.

Pretty sure it does not apply to anyone over 26. The letter they send is generic (it is on mine even as a woman).

Your age at US entry date is proof that you were not required to register.

Okay. That’s what I thought (and was hoping). It just had me a little nervous. Thanks for confirming what I originally thought.

I’m getting married the month prior to my Citizenship Interview. And it was schedule like that for months. She lives in El Salvador and I live in Orlando Fl.
When I submitted my application I submitted it as “single”. Should I let the Immigration officer know about the changes?
I’m planning to bring documents supporting my marriage, we been together for almost 5 years already and engaged for over a year.

I’m kinda worried about the days I’ve spent outside of the US.
I been outside 110 days (17 trips) within 5 years and 6 months of residency in the US. I have never moved from my address.
I’m going to get married in El Salvador 1 month before my interview appointment as well. I’m worried that they can deny my citizenship.

If you don’t tell them and they find out it could turn into a fraud case. That’s not enough to give up your residency. 110 days. You’re fine. You’ve got nothing to worry about. They won’t deny you based on 140 days. I think you have to be out of the country for a continuous 6 months or a year or something like that. Either way, you’re good. Just come back and stay until your interview after your wedding.

I know I'm being a spoiled brat by posting this (last time I complained my interview was scheduled like a few days later). This is just a (metaphorical) kid before Christmas waiting to open his presents talking...I really just want this waiting to be over. Feb 28th cannot come soon enough! So excited! lol. I hope you all receive good news, soon!

Hi Everyone,

I'm so glad I found this thread.

I filed my N400 online June 9th 2021. Biometric reuse and case actively reviewed notices on June 10th and nothing after that 😭 Memphis Tennessee field office. Is there any chance my file is lost somewhere? I'm starting to get a little worried here 😥. Is there anything that can be done at this point since my case is not outside normal processing time yet?
