Thanks! Just came across this last night as I was browsing VJ. So looks like all that stuff with bonafide marriage proof and tens of pages worth of personal stuff and all is not needed for N-400. Just some financial and tax documents etc. This seems easy enough if I can ever get into the IRS transcripts account. That’s the only thing I’m having issues with currently. Also, odd that it doesn’t say photographs are optional on that page there I thought it was only required if you’re outside the country.

Appreciate your response btw!

I think they just wanted to create a guide that would fit everyone. It may not be required, but if you send it with your app, it's more info for the IO to make a decision. You're safer going with the guide since it's better to have too much info than not enough.

On a side note, I check USCIS.gov everyday. lol. I feel obsessed. I was this way with my immigration, too, though. My wife moved prior to me and it took over a year for my immigration case to be looked at. She had to get her congressman to look into my case because they were taking so long. It was ridiculous. We did everything the legal way, but they still kept my wife and I apart for over a year and we had been married for about 2-3 years at that point, already. So hard not to "watch the pot" because it seems to take a long time to boil. :) I'm thankful for this group, since they got me through my last immigration process (IR-1), and now I need the support for this final stage. Almost everyone on here is amazing. You'll get some who are genuine jerks. Those are usually the ones that don't stay long. The mods usually are pretty quick and discerning individuals who are on top of the negativity as soon as it comes up.

Oh, I so understand you, checking my account 50 times a minute, I'm dying to think about that process as of something that is already behind me, silence since February, hopefully soon...

What are the timeframes for the N-400?

They're not as bad as I-130s and I-751s for instance, correct?

Hey you guys!!!!! My interview was scheduled, got a notification this morning for August 17th!!!!!

Congrats, the best of luck for you, keep all your documents and specially taxes organized, if you owe any money try to have an installment, I got an RFE because I was making payments without an agreement. That was on July the 1st, sent the agreement the next day, and to this day, I still have no decision on my case.
