This guy is operating a scaam from the prison😂😂 you should know people.

Hahahhha I do know this one. He hasn't got to Kamiti Maximum Prison yet. He and his colleagues  are still walking free in Roysambu.

Surprisingly, he was my high school colleague, same class and graduation year.

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.

I would also report it but the man probably is n/ not even in the US

Texas lawyer with offices in Louisiana that would have alerted me even though i know many work in several states that they border

but that city is outside New Orleans and closer to Mississippi and LA (lower Alabama)

As for US phone numbers ,  it is easy to have a cell with a US number or Canadian or English or French or German (and be a scammer from outside that country)

the scammers have a contact in any of the above countrys who send them a sims card keeping the contact number of that phone / i had a acammer call me with a British number and no way was he English/ how he even got my number ????? they have ways we don't even know about but foreigners do know Americans want a easy fix and believe in free money.

It sounds as though he's committing UPL (unauthorized practice of law).

Because it involves immigration, it may even be a Federal crime.

He absolutely needs to be reported, along with your findings, to every possible agency.

Start with his local police department, if you know where he is, or the State Police.

Even if you yourself aren't 100% sure about him, the investigating agencies will get to the bottom of it.

He's probably not even located in the United States.

Lol. The dude is probably in Africa somewhere. 🤣😁🤣. The investigating agencies will very likely not bother, unfortunately.

Just another random guy from the internet with an opinion, although usually backed by data!

His Louisiana office is 20 minutes from me. I may have to drop in to discuss my case... wink wink. 😆

I would literary do this. If you do find the office, I would bring in the news. If not, I would still record a video, post it on Youtube and post the link here. Heck, I will watch it

Boss, you should hear how this boy convinced me. He even sent me the website for the NGO that he was working for. Website was legit, but I came to find out it is a fake. I just graduated from university but still broke as I could be. That played a role in believing him. You know SendWave, right? That was his portal to siphon money. Thank goodness I found out ASAP before I became a target of FBI investigation. This was in 2018.

Went home in 2019. That was when I heard all these stories. Roysambu is a hotbed for "wash-wash" and other criminal activities.

Back to the OP, one thing I also did notice was the email domain was "gmail" and not a professional one. Most, if not all, professional companies have their own domain.

I started asking myself questions as to why the NGO would use SendWave to retrieve money from donors in the USA. Furthermore, why would my friend be the one to handle this. Additionally, why would the NGO want to withdraw using an already established SendWave account in the US? Why can't they open their own? And why would an NGO need SendWave anyway? Those are the questions that made me question my guy. I dropped him. He started hurling insults.

Then I went home for the first time in 6 years in 2019 (Left on F-1 in 2013). That was when I heard all these stories and that my friend had became a well-known con artist. Roysambu is a hotbed for "wash-wash" and other criminal activities. I have another classmate (different class but same graduation year) who claims he was given full-scholarship to Harvard but decided to drop it to pursue his dreams. By just saying "he dropped Harvard," his status has been elevated in Kenya. He has been to news channels etc. He even claims to have been on Forbes top 30 under 30 whatever for Africa. The boy is a serious CON man!! He even has US number while in Kenya to "convince people" that he is in the US. This is when my naïve brain learnt that you could have and use a US number while not even residing in the US. Dude is in Roysambu as we speak. His page says he is Kenyan-American. I wonder how he became a US citizen straight out of high school. I know this dude. So let nobody say he had family sponsorship because he did not. Neither did he marry nor win DV. There is just no way this boy became a US Citizen a year after high school. I am sure Obama did not confer presidential citizenship to him.......Lemme just stop there.

Just noting that since Immigration Law is Federal Practice, but states still have some, but not total control over ethics in their state, it could be entirely possible for a lawyer licensed, for example, in Idaho to practice only immigration law in Pennsylvania, a state which I am citing, because I am somewhat familiar with their detailed ethics opinions about this. Note that they must always put wording that says they are not licensed in PA and only practice Federal immigration law on all business cards and flyers, but they are allowed to only have an office in PA for their practice of immigration law. https://www.philadelphiabar.org/page/EthicsOpinion2004-6?appNum=2

Many other states have been less clear about ethics opinions on this issue.

People should be careful, and it should be a red flag to examine things that look questionable, and of course an immigration lawyer needs to be licensed somewhere in the US, but practicing immigration only, in  a different state than where licensed, is possible as well.

I am saying this person does not meet face to face and could be a scammer from another country altogether and US law will not affect him
