California Service Center has announced it has delays in sending notices. There is a news article dated yesterday on the VJ home page:

http://www.visajourney.com/news/2007/06/29...-system-delays/

WASHINGTON – The California Service Center (CSC) is experiencing systems problems that are causing delays in the printing of certain notices. USCIS believes the delays are primarily affecting approval notices for cases decided between April 2007 and the present, although production of some receipt notifications may be affected as well. USCIS is attempting to identify the source of the problem and generate the delayed notices as quickly as possible. In the interim, CSC has established interim procedures to help facilitate the needs of its customers.

Most of us are aware of the delays in receiving NOA notices. Old news to some, but CSC is not stating what the actual problem is.

If your are planning on following the K3 route the I-129F should have been filed as quickly as possible after the I-130 NOA1 or I-797 receipt notice like Melissa Hassan and Urge To Race stated. If you are taking the AR1/CR1 route then the I-129F is not used.

You can send in the I-129F yourself by following the guides and example forms here on VJ.

As for being trapped by your attorney/lawyer, lawyers can be hired and fired. You and your wife must decide what is best for you.
