Expedited Passport

I was wondering if the expedited option for getting a passport is really faster? What is the average wait time? Does it depend on where you're at?

My fiancé (Cape May, NJ) used expedited service for his passport and it took less than a month.  25 days

My husband’s routine/non expedited took just over a month. Applied 5 Jan received in mail 11 Feb.

I applied for mine, non-expedited, on February 3rd and received it on March 1st. I think it depends on your passport center. Mine was processed in Arkansas.

My impression is actually that the more recently people have applied the shorter it has taken. I think the Covid effects plus the awful post office snafus in December are largely worked out of the system by now.
