Paying the AOS Fee(s)

I just signed into CEAC for the first time, for my wife and stepdaughter's accounts.  I see that you have to pay fees before they let you start.  The screenshot below is from my wife's login.  It doesn't mention stepdaughter, but I will assume stepchildren are included.

So when I pay the $120 for my wife's AOS fee, the system will link my stepdaughter to that payment so it does not ask for another $120.  If so, that is good news because if you recall, I was concerned about when and how they would be linked.  Their I-130s were approved on the same day and this is further proof that their cases are linked.  Just for my peace of mind.

I'll answer my own question in case it helps someone else.  When I paid my wife's AOS fee, it told me I was paying for two related cases.  Then when I opened my stepdaughter's account, the AOS fee was already in process.

Did you have to do anything before you could pay fees? Asking because I have been waiting for a couple of months now and it won’t let me pay due to high volume.

That is strange.  No real problems for me.  I paid the AOS fee and then the IV fees for my wife and daughter.  Three separate transactions made with my checking account.  However, they have not been deducted from my account yet.  I did it about 14 hours ago and they say it might take 2-3 days.

I had the option to pay the fees immediately upon logging in after getting the NVC welcome email on 2/27, however there had been an alert on the CEAC site about maintenance happening over the weekend so just in case I waited and submitted the payment information for both fees first thing on Monday morning (3/1).

The funds were drawn from my bank account the next day (3/2), although on CEAC both are still showing as "in process" and I can't access anything else yet. Hoping it updates soon.

Both fees are now showing as paid in CEAC, so it took about 5 business days total. The "Start Now" links are now available, so I guess I know what I'll be working on this weekend!

Actually, there was a problem with one of my payments that I did not really know was a problem until now.

When I paid my stepdaughter's $325 IV fee right after I paid the two other fees, it hung up for a long time when I submitted it.  The the status changed to "In Process" so I thought it was good.  Now the status has reverted to "Pay Now" again and the money has not been deducted from my bank.  Sol I have to pay it again.

For my wife, both payments are deducted from my bank, and the status on the IV fee says paid.  However, the AOS fee still says "In process".
