Not that good not having wedding pictures as Most EVERYONE takes wedding pictures.

Her going back to the USA isn't much a reason for not having them!

Old saying! "A picture is worth a thousand words!"

If you have other pictures with her, you and your family it will help.

Whether you are denied or not all depends on how much other evidence you have supporting a bonafide marriage!

Good Luck!

I don't have any wedding photos either. I have a video, but no photos. I think it would be good to have wedding photos, but it isn't necessary. Your marriage certificate is proof of a genuine marriage.

You will need proof of a bona fide marriage. Wedding pics are nice, but that is not on the list of evidence list of bona fides. If you don't have co-mingling of financials, etc. you will need to submit 3 affadavits from relatives or firends who can attest to the bona fides of your relationship (i.e. that it is a genuine relationship and not just to convey an immigration benefit).

Your marriage cert proves that you are married. Nobody will question that. Pics would only show you had a wedding.

Pauline, the I130 was changed in Jan 2007. Now, yes a marriage cert proves that they are married. So pics aren't needed. But they need to submit proof of a bona fide relationship.

Some minimal proof of bonafide relationship should now be submitted with the I-130 petition, per the new I-130 instructions. Far more evidence of bonafides is appropriate at the time of the interview.

Please note the bonafides are about the relationship. You don't have to prove you had a wedding and the certificate proves you are actually "married".

Check Webster's or any other dictionary if you're confused about the difference between the meanings of "wedding" and "marriage".

It's in the revised I-130, which was put out either last December or January. It doesn't actually say that three are required, but as it's plural, most people have found that having 3 is safest, but technically two could be okay. In this case, the word "affidavit" means sworn letters from family and friends attesting to the relationship - it's nothing to do with the affidavit of financial support.

We obviously have no wedding pics, since we were married by proxy. (It is a bit of a strange story, which I told elsewhere.) USCIS approved our petitions, since we met the legal requirements and the requirements indicated in the I-130 form. (We had good documentation of our honeymoon.)

Be able to demonstrate, in plenty of ways, that your marriage is legitimate, and you should be fine.

if ur going to interview dont take any risk i been that process, and whatever ur thinking right now its seems to me that you are taking it very lightly , dont think like this , interview letter doesnt mean u got visa , exactly i went to my interview on same thoughts that hey i got interivew letter and i am getting visa , what happened i was denied , and i know how man does it feel when u deny wait for so long time and then u get denied.

If u dont have wedding pictures tell to your wife get here , and make some pictures together, possibly tell to ur wife dress up herself in wedding dress and do get togethering for pictures, there is nothing wrong in it , and do get all proof from a to z, make ur life easy right now or in the end will regret like i am , i have got now under finanical mental and emotional stress, and its natural so please its my brotherly advice to you , take all those things serious, Interview can make ur life easy or can make ur life a living hell so think about all those things.

my prayers are with you

regards

Chaingang

We did take a few "wedding" pictures at home with the same clothes we had on the day we signed, but they look no different from any other picture we have together. Now pictures of the ACTUAL wedding itself... no can do. All the ones from us signing, exchanging rings at the notary, pictures with the guy who married us, etc., they're all gone. Nothing we can do about it.

I had one affidavit, four wedding pics and an itinerary showing my spouse visited me in France since the wedding. And a copy of marriage license of course.

If you don't have the wedding pics, may be you have some other (honeymoon/vacation/home?) pics of you together?

Affidavits are the easiest proof to obtain.

I would not sweat the wedding pics even for the CO. When we got married, we were the only couple out of a dozen to be "properly" dressed and taking pics. That's a norm for court weddings :)

If the marriage certificate is enough proof of a genuine marriage nobody would be denied.

Wedding pictures plus pictures from other occasions are helpful, but not a must. The CO may ask why you don't have pictures together. You should give them good answers.

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview
