Is it being actively reviewed?

USCIS shows that they’re processing October 2020 now, but VisaJourney has more and more Nov/Dec petitions showing as approved in Texas which is good.

Yes. Actively being reviewed since July, 2021.

Hi All!

I'm a US citizen; filing for my wife (I130) in March '21. This forum is a lot of pages, but congrats to all of those who have finished their process or have received updates! :)

NOA1: 03/19/2021 (Filed online and got the NOA1 in the mail very quickly afterwards - it says Nebraska Service Center at the bottom of the page)

Actively being reviewed since 08/02/2021

Still waiting on reply...

What's really confusing to me is the difficulty getting in touch with USCIS or using their online tools..? Anybody else able to get through?

According to the processing times page, https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/ , my case is outside normal processing time already and I haven't received RFE or any communication at all. Currently it says March 26, 2021 as receipt date for case inquiry.

However when using the Outside Normal Processing Time online tool, it auto denies me saying that case is "within normal processing times." What is the deal with this? Anybody else getting the same thing or able to get through?

Calling USCIS by phone is an absolute nightmare... the robo attendant disconnects without fail and does not have many options in terms of how it can help besides reading whatever info is already available on myUSCIS.

I sent a written message through myUSCIS inbox two days ago.. waiting on approval or reply. :( Didn't know what else to do.. 😕

Just go on the uscis website and use the chat “ask Emma.” Type live agent and then select option “technical difficulties.” Make sure you do it during regular office hours, which is like 8-4 EST I think.

Thanks for the suggestion everybody!

I was able to chat with a live agent before 4pm :)

So bad news is service center is now Potomac

estimated processing time 13 months to 16.5 months.. which as of today the receipt date for a case enquiry is June 8, 2020  😢 😢 😢

I am so disappointed and sad after learning this...

My wife and I were generally expecting approval soon since Nebraska cases seemed to be moving :(

They did not comment on the matter of the case status being processed quicker as it is being marked as under active review. They did confirm that the case is showing up as under active review so that is good.

This service center confusion is something else... I did file online so maybe they just mark all online cases as Nebraska Service Center on the receipt notice by default (which probably auto generates the next day).

Don’t be too worried with the uscis processing times… Vermont and California have much slower average processing times then what has been getting approved lately at those centers. There really are no rules and it can happen whenever.

Yep the processing time estimates are not worth stressing over.  Ours was at California which showed 18-22 months when we filed, but it was approved in 5.5 months. Each case is different, too.

I just got transfered to the PSC for some reason. This is not what I wanted to hear.

The case is at the Potomac Service Center. You can get an idea of how long it will take to process your case from the processing time table available on our website at egov.uscis.gov/processing-times. If your receipt date is before the “Receipt date for a case inquiry," you can submit an e-request at egov.uscis.gov/e-request/Intro.do. There are no new updates to report to you at this time. We will notify you if we need something from you. We appreciate your patience. Before you go, would you like to learn how to create a USCIS online account that gives you access to our self-help tools anytime and on any device?
